Kind of confused by this. I’d think this would indicate someone coming back, but Burky is only on week 4 of 6-8 injured and hasn’t had a full practice with the team yet. I’m wondering if this is just to save some cap space or protect his 30 day window to not go through waivers again? Just feels odd to not have a scratched forward for the game tomorrow
Maybe they are trying to squeeze every penny for the trade deadline. According to capfriendly, they’ll have about $7.7m in cap space by the deadline. That’s enough for Nylander or some other impact player.
