As a goalie I can confirm, that is 100% the stuff of nightmares
It was funny, I watched this live on the Jackets stream and the announcers didn't make a big deal out of it. Rimmer and Jody Shelley are usually great, but they seemed to just miss the little juke that made this goal so special.
I know it's legal to hit someone in the face with a follow through on a shot, but when you're skating right into a player and blasting away, it can't look good if it ends up whacking the player in the face. That's why we don't see that play IMO. But he seems to have the ability to elevate the puck without elevating his stick.
