Yet another banger from Pinholes Graham.
Your production quality rivals the best sport channels out there. You're making fall in love with this sport i barely started watching.
Kepp going, we'll will be watching!
I find it most interesting that the Kings wore their purple jerseys in Game 7.
I had always thought that when playoffs start each team had to select two jerseys that they can not deviate from.
What years was the Dead Puck era? Great summary of this series. I remember watching this.
I might have to rewatch Game 5. I don't remember Twist working for ESPN.
Why was the temperature so high in Game 6? Who is that on the CBC play by play?
It was odd that the Kings were getting credit for having "heart" when it was just simple luck that was guiding them. At some point, it had to run out in these playoffs. They couldn't do it with mirrors forever. And it was poetic justice that Blake fired the first salvo to rally his troops in the deciding game. Great work on this.
kurt russell: not pregnant. it's important context.
Gary Thorne is the goat
Game 5, 6, and the first 2 periods of game 7 have to be the most frustrating 8 periods of hockey, possibly ever.
Jack Edwards calling national broadcast games like he did back then was fine. It’s his bullshit calling of the bruins games that’s so brutal. It’s downright embarrassing to listen to him now
Theres nothing like playoff hockey in any sport period. This was a great series commentated by a legend in Gary Thorne and bill Clement..they made the game so much more entertaining than it already was..miss those days tremendously..
These videos are awesome it’s like of secret base talked about relevant events
Cinema
the amount of work and attention to detail you put into these videos incredible cheers to you and thank you. i know its a real old series but the 1982 series between islanders and penguins would be a great series to do a deep dive on the lowly penguins who finished more than 40 points behind islanders almost ended their dynasty
Great work as always! I was wondering where do you get those games? I would love to watch old game
Fantastic idea for a video. Fond childhood memories of watching this series at my grandparents.
29:15 Somehow knowing that Jack Edwards can call a game normally, but chooses not to, makes him even more infuriating.
Amazing production. Keep these retro-documentaries coming!
another masterpiece. never stop
I was at game 4 of this series. Couple idiots threw popcorn at me and when i got up to leave when the game was basically over, mofo attacked me from behind, just for wearing an Avs jersey. My mother was with me and that idiot who attacked me pushed her out of the way and she got a hairline fracture in her foot from it.
You completely forgot the fact that after winning game 7, forsberg was taken to the hospital and had to have his spleen removed. That was a KEY event in the whole kings/avs series of 2001 and you dont even mention it? You must be like 16 years old and werent even alive to watch this series.
Why is it entertaining to hear Edwards call a game that ISN'T the Bruins…
The Jack Edwards jumpscare was crazy, man
Another amazing one! Only quibble is you missed a fantastic opportunity in your script. Since you mentioned the Achilles heel, instead of "Titanic effort" mentioned later on, you should've said "Herculean effort". Aside from that, it's a 10/10- perfect job, once again! 😀
Dude I love these so much. This is the exact type of hockey content I was looking for and I’ve finally found it. Thank you so much
What a series. Amazing video sir!
Every time I click on your videos I forgot that this isn't a professional channel with videos spanning the past ten years and millions of subscribers. I wish all sports channels could have your dedication and quality
Whoever posted ur channel to r/hockey is a goat. About to binge all ur vids
Jack edwards back in his Little League World Series days. Love to see that
21:14 “…and that he’s not pregnant.” 🤣
