And the leafs lost to Chicago. Good day today

  2. RyanWalts

Glad to see Caufield rip that monkey off his back! Yeah he’s been in a bit of slump, but he’s also continued to get high danger chances. Slaf also had a fantastic game, and very much earned that assist. His vision on the ice is so much better this year, and it’s making a huge difference. Even earned the coaching confidence to get out there in OT and the shootout!

Shoutout to Suzuki’s one overtime move that works every single time, apparently, and Primeau! What a game by him.

  3. RoosterVking

LMAOO YLONEN SLAMMED THAT SHIT IN WHEN HE SAW THE OPEN NET. what a mic drop

  4. I really dont want to pile on anderson…

But holy fuck slafkovsky has been a different player since being separated from him

  5. willard287

Juraj Slafkovsky is a Montreal Canadiens

  6. Slafkovský just got a massive vote of confidence from the coaching staff and it was 100% deserved, he has been great since the Canucks game, 4 points in his last 5 games

he got his first shift ever in OT + getting a Shooutout attempt, nearly 20 minutes TOI

  7. DburgH4L

Great game by slaf looks like a legit top 6 player as of late

  8. HabChronicle

    Primeau was a beast tonight

Slaf was incredible. Now 4 points in his last 5 games

    Caufield slump has been conquered

    A win!

  9. ObverseNebula

I love that Slaf is getting more trust and opportunities from Marty. Was on the ice in OT and was in the shootout too

  10. Slaf was all over the place today! Great game

  11. ItTakesTreeGoals

    YOLO just nasty.

    Slaf haters jumping ship.

    CC breaks the drought.

    Amazing.

  12. bcgrappler

Ylonen with a bit of a diss at the end there.

  13. Sentenced2Burn

Primeau with a great SO win

    Struble 1st point

    Great game from Slaf

    Caufiled monkey off back

Suzuki dirt nasty in the shootout as always

    Escaped SJ with a dub

    I’ll fuckin take it boys

  14. cjackc11

Can Marty now finally give Ylonen some real ice time thanks

  15. bathbwoi

I feel like Ylonen is on the cusp of breaking out into a really solid player they need to get him off the 4th line and give him more minutes. Kid has nasty hands and shot

  16. EasyPanicButton

Call me simple but TSN turning point was Monty beating Sharkey at rock paper scissors. SUCK IT SHARKS

  17. KingAlphie

Stream died right after Duclairs attempt. I’m so annoyed.

  18. Matiabcx

All good except we only started playing hockey in the very end of 2nd period. This is Primeu’s win

  19. Habsfan_2000

Time for Monty and Primeau to split all of the games. That solidified it.

    Back at .500

  20. TopHeavyRoster

Wow Blackwood was ready to be beaten by a dexterous scorer, and Ylo is just that.

  21. NotJoeMoses

Ylonen needs more ice time. I’m not gonna say who needs less. We know.

    *GOOD*

    – If you are going to play bad it’s better to win the game.

    – Very good game from Primeau. Tough that he’s the standout player vs a very historically bad opponent. Moved well and looks solid in there.

    – Nice to Caufield get the monkey off the back. Great shot.

    – Struble continues to impress me. Very very good depth defensemen by the looks of it.

    – Ylonen is money when you need some skill or finishing.

    – Slafkovsky looked great making some smart plays. Making strides.

    *BAD*

    – Habs were way too passive in the d zone once again. Idk I would describe this defensive coverage the equivalent of prevent defense in football. It does not pressure enough.

    – In a game where the Habs were going to have more possession you can see that isn’t really the Habs game. Trying to out pass the opponent on the perimeter isn’t really how to break down a park the bus opponent. Needed some skilled plays to break them down or crash the net, neither rly happened, but they eventually got them with a nice Kovacevic shot.

    – Few of the forwards in the defensive zone are lost.

    – There wasn’t really any particular bad player rather team cohesion and structure really was off which led to a not so good game.

  23. dawnofthedunk_

Cool win. But still hate the shootout. Get rid of it.

  24. veranedi

Primeau was a beauty and I’m glad he got a win. Happy for Caufield too! Let the scoring streak begin?

  25. zzzzoooo

I find that Ylonen deserves a better treatment. He has way too little icetime.

Suzuki is so great in shootout while Caufield foes 0/4 this season.

I don’t like the way that Suzuki makes the passes on PP lately, he has had many turnovers with his bad passes on PP.

Slaf is very involved today, but his shot is to be desired.

Kovacevic should teach Slaf how to score and Guhle teaches Anderson 🙂

  26. lordfrank18

    CC finally scores

    Chadkovsky is him

    Great game by Primeau

I never wanna see Dvorak and Anderson in a Habs jersey ever again

  27. Macie_1wastaken

Are there any specific Slaf highlights I should check from today? Saw the assist, but didn’t get to watch 🙁

  28. TooobHoob

I loved the number of times I thought the puck was lost, and out of the corner of the screen I saw the flash of a wild Slaf with a steel chair. It wasn’t always effective, but it’s a fight and physicality I was glad to see, and when it was effective it maintained possession very efficiently

  29. Merci gardien Primeau, avec un beau assist aussi!

  31. The___Colonel

I told you all about Slaf.

The kid is a monster. Be patient with him. That’s the kind of player that will bring you deep into the playoffs. Go Habs Go.

  32. I like having 2 duos in Suzuki/Newhook and Caufield/Slaf. Too bad we dont have good 3rd to compliment them more

  33. TopHeavyRoster

Can we hear it for Ylo?? The kid is for sure part of our future top 9

  34. JediMasterZao

lmao the latest amazing nickname dropped from Caufield’s post game interview! Ylonen is officially known as Slim Shady from now on.
