What a fucking beatdown. Hatty and 5 points for Pointer, Kuch six points to tie the franchise record, and Raanta batting .500. The only way that game could’ve been any better is if that rat Bunting got his face rearranged, but we all know he’s too much of a puss to actually fight, as he showed when he ‘fought’ Jeannot the first time.
What a game to welcome Vasy back. 1 SOG the entire first period just for the floodgates to open. Also on a 5 game point streak!
Edit: only been one game obviously, but it seems like Vasy being more confident in handling the puck helped eliminate some of the turnovers in the defensive zone we’ve become so accustomed to. Hoping that’s the case going forward.
I wouldn’t say that escalated quickly as we didn’t kick into high gear until the 3rd, but it feels like it did lol

Honestly that was a really good game by the team. Carolina had a bunch of possession but it was mostly just doing cardio around the perimeter. Almost every single Tampa shot was dangerous and they made no mistakes.

That was the highest shot percentage ever in an NHL game. Insane to shoot over 50%
Biggest difference Vasy and Jonas Brothers is rebound control. Vasy just punched pucks out of the rink at will or swallowed them whole if the Canes were playing downhill. I don’t want to get too far ahead but it looks like good Vasy may be back.

I don’t know if it was quality over quantity or Raanta having a bad night but i do think the D played noticeably better barring a few turnovers from Sergy guy’s got a bad case of the yips.
6 points for Kuch, 5 points and a hatty for point, Hagel with 3 points, Stammer with 2, Solid game, happy to see Hagel improving on last season already, its kind of uncanny how much him and Point are alike.
