I’ve always wondered why tickets arent cheaper to fill the seats. Wouldn’t it make more sense financially to sell cheap tickets to patrons that will likely buy concessions and other stuff while they are there? Similar concept to movie theaters. People generally spend way more on food and drinks than they do for the actual movie ticket.

Addendum: Tuch doesn’t specifically say tickets are not affordable. He said going to a game in person (which would include tickets of course) isn’t always affordable.

I wanted to go tonight, but wasn’t paying 80 bucks for nosebleeds

I noticed this immediately and I’m glad someone made a dedicated thread about it. Even if the on-ice product were consistently excellent, Buffalo’s a blue collar town; many people can afford maybe one game a year and it has to be on a night they’re not working.

Man, Adams getting Tuch and bring him home was so huge. He is no doubt our next Captain. I love that he tells it like it is and brings the energy. Let’s get him a couple more leaders next season to help mentor the young core.

When I have to sell my tickets, I put them up for face value and hope the lucky buyer is a Sabres fan. I’m not trying to rip any of y’all off or have two opposing fans in my seat. I’ll take that hope over « profit » all day.
