This team never showed up until the 3rd period and after losing to Detroit 4-0 and giving this kind of a performance to a 5-11 team is absolutely inexcusable. They only had 16 shots on net after 2 periods and Jack only had 1 of them. Dougie Hamilton has been an embarrassment and should be ashamed making 9 million dollars. Lindy really should make a stand and bench him or send him back to the minors if they even take him.
Seeing L. Hughes and Hamilton together is an automatic goal against. Worst tandem in the NHL. Luke needs to sit tf back and chill. He took away a shot on the PP from Dougie to pass it to Bratt on a VERY tough angle shot. He doesn't see the game well and is a defensive cancer!!!!! He needs to be in Utica and Nemec needs to be in NJ. If he wasn't Jack's brother, he would be.
Brendan is 100% right on with what he's saying, but when the results continue to be out of their favor the words start to lose weight. This was a really tough one to lose for them (and for us as fans). Confidence is dropping and frustrations are amplifying. Hope they figure it out for us & themselves soon, and pick themselves up. It's not fun to play (or watch) this kind of hockey.
There are definitely some internal things going on with this team. Too much talent to play this poorly. Media needs to start digging and find out who and why? Seems like some upper echelon players are sand bagging. The effort has disappeared, why?

If the coaching staff cant get the players ready for puck drop we need to find somone who can. Plain and simple, this effort is not acceptable and i dont hear or see anyone upset on the bench.
Maybe Devils need to buy Hamilton out? I know it is probably £5-6M caphit for several years. But it is better than his current $9M. And then after several year his buyout cap hit will be less.
