I think the problem for Reave is trying to find his place on a offensively talented team I don't think you can characterize the fourth line as a grinder line or a tough-guy line, so Reaves is kind of out on an island. In the past, when I did get a chance to watch him, he made a lot of hits (some less than clean, if i'm being generous); however, I did notice that he can makes place and, on occasion, put the puck in the net.
I believe Reaves will come into his own closer to the playoffs when he can step up more and take the role who was hired for: to protect the offensive stars and make sure opponents understand that "you hit one of our guys and he'll hit one of your guys back!!" We'll see.
