I’d like to request more Hak yelling at the players at practice.

Hope Bjorky and Tanev are okay. Fuck Tyler Myers

  2. pastpastdue

So… Dumoulin and Schultz for McDavid and Draisaitl? Who says no? We need goals, they need D…

  3. Let sign Xhekaj. Get someone to lay down the law.

Kinda lost the plot after the goal was disallowed. Seemed off to start. Coulda used the jump early. Oh well… Shake it off and let’s have a good road trip. Could easily do 3-1 on this trip.

    Edit: fuck Tyler Myers

Vancouver knew that Matty scoring meant bad news so they tried getting it removed, & it sadly worked out(obviously that isn’t why we still ended up like we did, but through the power of superstitions anything is possible).

Also I didn’t think it was possible to get higher on a fan base’s hate list when you’re already public enemy #1, but I think Tyler Myers somehow did it.

Good night, Fuck Tyler Myers, and see you guys Tuesday.

I’m sorry everyone. I think I’m the problem. I’ve been to 10 games and have yet to see a win.

Our third periods suck. Just looks like the vets out there get so worn out by then that the play goes right by them.

    What a painful night.

And fuck Vancouver’s dirty plays! Especially fuck Tyler Myers!

It’s not that they don’t love to win… it’s that they don’t hate to lose.

Just spent 5 minutes trying to find a non-photoshopped picture of tyler myers before i finally realized his neck really is as long as my forearm

  11. figure32

Turned it off early, what happened to Bjorkstrand

  12. pastpastdue

No penalties after the first is the most NHL shit I’ve ever seen

  13. futuregoalie

No goalie hugs for us 😔 maybe on Tuesday?

  14. HealthyBullfrog

It was the worst of times. It was the worst of times.

  15. hanzmelman

That was an off game, especially defensively but there will be a few of those every season.

What the heck is going on in the 3rd period though?!

  16. Cup-Oh-Noodle

Gotta be honest Canucks fans are the absolute worst away fans lol

  17. Go_Hawks12

Our third period performances have been absolutely abysmal. 1/4 of the way through and it’s always an issue. Haven’t looked at official stats but it wouldn’t surprise me if we had 3 shots to their 3 goals in the third.

On to the next 🩵 bad times and our third D line was SUFFERING tonight, eeek. But still some awesome shots against Demko who was crushing it on goal. And at least it wasn’t a shutout. AND we got a Yanni fight. Compared to the start of the season, it was still much better so…at least we’re looking consistent.

Really hope Turbo and Bjorky are ok. Especially with how bad that hit looked on Turbo. UGH. Leave us and our team alone, we suffer enough.

Winter Classic sweater gets here tomorrow so I’m looking forward to that, yay for positives.

So people blaming Daccord are silly.

But I would feel much more confident with a goalie like Demko

this game did not make my potential appendicitis feel better.

  21. Sounds like this one checked off all the Kraken tropes.

    – Get down early.

    – “Dominate” some amount of time and have nothing to show for it on the scoreboard.

    – Take big shots on key players, do nothing in response.

    – Soft penalties against, while the opponent can do no wrong.

  22. WalkTheLand

I’ve always said…. And it’s the same as last year. Until the Kraken can learn to skate, they can’t keep possession of the puck let alone attack to try to score or defend. They just don’t have any coordinated formation, if may take a few more years…

Was at the game, first of the season for us. Also the first for our baby girl, who seemed to enjoy it. Had a meltdown just before the third started so we had to leave.

Disappointing result on ice, but damn if seeing my daughter watch her first game up close wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever seen in my lifetime with the game.

I know we’re all being positive because of the the thanksgiving of stat, but out of curiosity I went back 10 years. And not counting the COVID years only 5 teams have made it to the playoffs in the last 8 seasons who finished with a (-) goal differential. I have always been a fan of goal differential when comparing stats and rankings because it tends to show how teams win or lose.

Teams with loads of wins and high +/- tend to score a lot, and lose in close games.

Teams with loads of win and a low or negative +/- tend to win close games but allow a lot of goals against

Teams with loads of losses and high +/- tend to not exist, but it could mean when you win you win but a lot, but it doesn’t happen often lol, and when you lose it’s close.

Lastly teams with loads of losses and low +/- just simply allow a lot of goals.

Obviously there is more to it, but that’s the basic gist.

It’s not common for teams to make the playoffs if they aren’t out scoring their opponents and it would take more time but I would be curious to see how that compares to the thanksgiving stats, what were teams +/- at thanksgiving and how many – converted to + and made the playoffs still.

We currently still hold the WC, but still 5 teams below us have games in hand. And every single one of them could pass us if they win those games, slapping us down 5 spots in the standings. **However** three of those teams have a negative differential not too far from our -16 which tells me they are struggling too and we may not have to worry quite as much about them **if we can string a few wins**. One team is at a 0 and one is at +2. While not spectacular, I think these two teams (Nashville and Arizona) are currently the two teams we want to see hit a slump, as well as all of our divisional rivals.

Here’s the kicker though, we’re 4th place in our division, 1 2 and 3 are all 20+ differential and 6 to 9pts ahead of us **all with games in hand on us.**

I think the odds of us taking a divisional spot at this point with out some drastic change and huge win streaks is slim to none and right now we are going to be battling it out for a wildcard a spot.

Our recent play and goal differential makes me nervous that the WC spot were in now is just a rental and one of those 5 teams is going to want it back soon unless this team really finds a way to finish a game and hit their stride.

  25. The overreactions here are hilarious. The Canucks are one of the best teams in the west…
