Berggren has not performed to the level required to play at the NHL level. While he has a great IQ, he gets knocked off the puck too easy, and is soft in the corners.
Good did not broadcast shirtless. He was changing into his broadcast shirt and jacket and noticed Keating, I believe, trying to sneak a photo (as they like to poke fun at each other). Noticing this, Osgood decided to lean into it and put his headset on for the picture. He actually said the room was quiet cold
My Mike says he is thankful for Alex D, Dylan L (even while hurt), T J C, Raymond L, Shayne G, Moe, Ben C, Lyon, Joe V, play of most players and the Wings in a Wild Card spot tied with Toronto. No luck against poor playing teams like Ottawa and Toronto who they should bury with close in opportunities. Great play by Shane G swinging his stick on a pass only shit luck as the puck ended up in front of the net for Tim S, come on what are the chances, show me a replay of this happening before. If you look at other replays of goalies doing the splits on a shot (like James R) the head automatically follows the body down.
Facts: TJ C +5 4-12=16, Ben C +8 19:25 ice time & KP if he is not playing tough/hard they usually lose, Jeff P + – = 0, Justin H +8, Oli Mantha -1
If the Wings lost the last 2 games you would be talking only about the bad things even though the facts and stats don't support your options. They really didn't play bad in Sweden. Bad is losing a game by 3-5 goals. They could have won. It's funny Detroit gets called for a penalty by Moe for a stick between the legs playing the puck against Toronto and I watched a replay of a recent Toronto game where John T sticks his stick between the legs of an opponent who then goes down and the leaf's end up scoring soon after. The refs have controlled how the wings lose games. Be thankful the Wings are not in last place. The wings lose games because of poor luck, the goalies not coming up with a stop, bad ref calls in the last 10 minutes. Both Bruin goals were lucky.
I am also thankful of the team Steve Y has but together. Now up to the coaches and players. They don't need to trade unless they can get a young super star player or goalie as the Wings have enough future stars coming up. I think Jeff P is a step behind and I would like to see Simon E come up. If you look at the replays Oli M has been beat a couple of times. Sorry I don't agree with most of your bad thing options.
Great show.
I had been hoping that at least Edvinsson might get a game in Sweden, but …….
Raymond looks great,it's good to see. Love his grit and heart on top of his array of skills.
I would package a deal for Edmonton and would look to take back Bourgault and Broberg.
I'm sure I read that the Wings are #1 in the league for 5 on 5 goals, which is pretty impressive.
If you could pull off a trade, which goalie, which D, which F would you get rid of?
Neilson contract still lingers in my head rent free
Great show as always. Will Lyon make more starts now that he has in 2 games shown to be the better goalie?
