I don’t need this kind of depression.

Not surprised since we’re playing all the kids in the NHL. If our rookies were down in the AHL we’d probably be leading the league. This doesn’t really bother me too much.

That’s rough for some of the guys who are long time AHLers. It’s hard not to get cynical and toxic. Especially when they are the people who are supposed to be showing the ropes to the new guys who have bright futures and are just showing up.

This is all part of the growing pains of rebuilding and building a young new team. Hopefully the org can help reward individual efforts and let players have a chance more often to show their game with the big club.

At some point, we have to accept the state of the team and be willing to reduce the roles of some of players who are going to be gone next year. It would be a huge moral boost for some of the players down in San Diego to get a couple games in Anaheim for showing their work ethic and dedication. I think opening the doors to Anaheim a little bit more would be a huge incentive for players to compete more and show they want to get better.

Think of it like a company that only promotes internally versus outside hire.

  5. Sorry guys. Bought the AHL season pass 13 games ago…

Did Dallas Eakins return to coach the Gulls or something?
