Time to start benching the stars when they fail to show up multiple games in a row. Matthews and Marner were MIA for the 4th straight game. Hearing Keefe say he thought the top line was "good" and had jump is mind boggling.
Nothing new . No number 1 goalie no blocked shots defensively not good . Woll is going to be a good goalie but not with the defensive system leafs play.

This team stinks. Reilly Willy Woll Knies and Robertson are the only players that play 60 minute games. Marner is soft. Defense can't move bodies in front of net. Team as a whole is thin. 1 ply toilet paper thin. Finger is full of shit every wipe.

I don't know what's going on with the first line lately (and I am a big Marner and Matthews fan) but nothing much has seemed to be clicking for those two lately.

I’m sure the minute Auston Matthews plays with Willy Nylander, he’ll play his best hockey to date. I’d hate to break up JT and Willy, but AM is the most important guy to get going. Nylander is a possession machine that can create so much space for Matthews, vice versa. Willy clearly their best at his prime, AM has another gear. Marner’s just not the guy. Too slow, turns the puck over a ton, kills any momentum. AM and Nylander skill set right now will turn this team around.
Keefe just committed his whole coaching career in Matthews and Marner together. So weird.

Umm…I understand that Keefe wants to protect his poster boy, but where is he getting his stats from? Marner is seventh among forwards in this team in even-strength GF/60 and his even-strength CF% Rel is 0.9 despite starting 60% of his shifts in the O-Zone. Marner has been questionable thus far in this season, and he's been making some really dumb mistakes the past five games, the type of dumb plays he's made during the playoffs for the past few years.
If anything, Keefe should be furious and scared, because everyone knows that the 2-year extension doesn't prevent deep-pocketed teams like the Leafs from firing you.
Gotta have a better 1st and last period. needs to be better and something needs to be changed. Can't keep doing this like FR! Just change it and get back into it
Maybe, just maybe, this team could do a no backhand blind pass challenge for a game and see if that works things out? Or maybe they could learn to clear the zone quick since the D can’t handle a forecheck?

shanahan has to go. o reilly knew the culture here was too woke- they will never win anything- marner has to go, get 2 solid d men, need a decent goalie. am needs to earn his paycheck. soft forwards as well- what a mess. all the guys they got at the deadline they shoulve kept- traded mm for a #1 dman or a #2 dman and good goalie.
