Jeez these comments did not age well. Yes I know he's dealt with numerous and repeated injuries that have essentially killed his confidence and his offensive abilities, but then you look at who went after. I wouldn't call Patrick a full bust a la Greg Oden in the NBA, but just based on who went after the Flyers essentially butchered the entire future of the franchise with this pick (Cale Makar, Miro Heiskanen, Nick Suzuki, etc.) According to sources scouts actually wanted Makar but Hextall overrode their decision and chose Patrick. What could've been. Absolute shame.
To think the Flyer Scouts wanted Cale Makar and not Nolan Patrick.
But Rexhall decided on his own.
