Despite the loss, that was a slick goal by Boris Katchouk.
* Today was the Blackhawks’ first « Best Day Ever » game, a series of youth-focused Sunday afternoon games.
* Raddysh’s forecheck created an opportunity. Donato redirected a Phillips shot into the net.
* Korchinski was beaten on Neighbours’s first goal and stripped on his second.
* Katchouk scored on a breakaway for his first goal this season.

Reichel needs to spend a few weeks in the minors. So disappointed with his season so far.
Reichel really isn’t working on any line at first I thought it was his line mates but it’s looking like he may be the problem. I want to see him do well hope this can change

When is it time to worry about Reichel?
This team is a real mess without the veteran presence of Perry and/or Hall. Granted, they’re still a mess even with those guys, but without them we’re literally just icing an AHL team. And not even an especially good AHL team.
Just saw that reichel is now -14 making him the worst +/- on the hawks and one of the worst in the league
I’m still a Reichel believer but yeah he needs to figure it out
The hawks have terminal 2023 White Soxitis. An inability to win 2 in a row.
I’m so confused by Reichel’s play this year. He’s been awful.
He looked great last season, and it’s not like he was being propped up by good linemates. Almost all of his NHL action came late in the season, when Kane and Domi were gone and Toews was away from the team dealing with his health issues.
I usually start to be more passive with my watching when we get down 3. There have been far fewer of those games compared to last year, so that’s nice. Even today, it was only for 5 minutes. It’s probably overshadowed by the Hall/Perry/Reichel/Jones talk, but improvement is there.

Reichel might need some time in the AHL to fix his game. He gets shed off almost every puck, he falls a lot, as soon as he gets the puck he is dishing it somewhere. It’s like he’s scared, or injured, or some combination of both. I’m not sure but he looks bad.
It’s interesting to read all the comments about Reichel. I was thinking today along the same lines as a lot of you. Maybe he needs to spend some time back in the AHL.
He did seem to be settling into the league last season and I can’t imagine all his production was a result of playing with AA. He looks lost and lacking confidence. I’m worried the team has given him too much responsibility here trying to play him at C and now on the top line. He needs to get some mojo going and I worry his confidence is just taking a beating game after game.
Does anyone else feel like Seth Jones is taking on the attitude of malicious compliance? Coach says to shoot the puck more often, and Seth just throws shots on the net whether his teammates are standing in the way or not. Coach says that they need to find someone other than Connor, and Seth basically stops even attempting to pass to bedard. It just doesn’t make sense…
