End of the day it looks like murder. Luckily most people understand it wasn’t intentional.
Still…def doesn’t help the trouba hate
For us – make sure we understand how important he is. Leading the league in blocked shots is huge.

Doesn’t look intentional. Gotta control that stick though. Should have been called on the ice, would have understood a game suspension. But I certainly don’t hate that he got away with it.

Looks rather tame.

Looks like he was trying to pull his stick away and accidentally clipped him. Hockey fans are real soft these days

Honestly I thought it was a penalty and I wouldn’t even be upset over a game suspension. It didn’t look intentional to me, but you also have to control your stick. I think he may have gotten away with one just a bit, but also it’s wasn’t nearly as bad as most people on social media want you to believe

It’s over. Troubs was held responsible for his errant stick by the league.
The folks in other subs who aren’t willing to move on because they dislike the Rangers and our Captain aren’t going to change their views. We’ve all put in a lot of work to educate the fans who genuinely were interested in reasonable discussion of the matter and to good effect.
I’m also proud of us as a fan base because we didn’t all just jump to defend our captain because he is our captain but instead took time to understand the situation on the ice, and the impact of trouba’s actions before jumping in.

Tbh, this is why good reffing is so important. Had the Ref called that holding, Trouba wouldn’t have had tried to free himself and accidentally slashed that dude in the head.
Not at all excusing Trouba, though it’s obviously accidental, but in such a violent game when refs don’t call shit, this type is shit is gonna happen unfortunately. Thankfully he didn’t hurt him.

I feel like anybody saying this is intentional should watch Matt Cooke stepping on Erik Karlsonns ankle. THAT was intent to injure, THAT was predatory [intent to injure](https://youtu.be/EyfTzunzrUk?si=gPZmWYqdBk9FQdqw)
