I cant think of a reason why not.

Nah. He obviously has a monumental impact on the franchise, but he didn’t spend enough of his career here for it to be banner-worthy.

He does deserve his Canes HOF induction, though.

I feel like banners should be for truly elite careers *with* the team. Williams was amazing but his big work was mostly with LA. As another poster said, absolutely he deserves a canes HOF induction. Also, I wonder if his game 7 stats get him in the HHOF?

  4. He automatically gets added to that hall of fame banner so that’s enough I’d say. I think EStaal should be the next guy with an actual banner/retired number

Again, the fact that Glen Wesley got one, leaves us little room to debate who should get a banner. Miss me with the Whalers bullshit reason. There is absolutely no reason why #2 should be hanging in the rafters. The NC State participation banners have more meaning than his.

I love the guy. Such a friend of the organization and the very definition of catalyst in his short comeback with us. He was, of course, instrumental in our Cup as a young player.

As much as I like the guy…no banner.

    Canes HOF? Absolutely.

There has to be no doubt why you have a banner for the franchise that puts it in the rafters and given his excellent career in LA, I think moving his HOF induction and recognition to a night when BOTH franchises can celebrate the guy was a class move by the Canes.

The fact that Cam Ward’s number isn’t, makes me think that his won’t be either
