The Manson call was made by Toronto, not the refs (though I'm sure they had input seeing how he was acting), and on the zone entry that same plan Manson tripped Boeser at the blue line with no call, which I believe was what he was miming the fall of in that clip.

The Manson call was correct . The player is responsible for his stick. The replay shows he makes an upward motion with stick right into Boeser’s face. Did he know what he doing? We don’t know. The replay shows what it shows. The refs had no choice but to call it, but they clearly didn’t like it – since they pretty much immediately made sure the Canucks PP would be erased with 2 quick call back to back.

Advanced stats indicated that the Canucks' hot start was not sustainable. Looks like things are regressing toward a more realistic outcome. I hope they make the playoffs and they do have a decent buffer, but surely there's some concern.
