Oilers got a mountain to climb there 6 points back from a second wildcard and then gotta keep wining. Positive is looks like there back to the oilers we know so hopefully it can continue.

I don't know if I would really say the "Oilers" are back. I think it's mostly McDavid really performing well. Maybe not like 2022-23 but definitely still 110+ points.
oil looks great, but should have 0 chance vs Vegas… looking at the 3rd line Foeg -10/ McLeod -5… and 4th lines that GM has put together… Also GM defenders of Bouch -5 and Kulak -7… & $4mil Brown on 1st line -6, not very scary for Vegas.
That said, team will be 6 behind .500… & working their climb back to .500 which will give them a chance as Nash-Ariz-Sea hold the final playoff spot at 10 wins/ .500 hockey.

Being able to watch this game was very exciting. While I don’t if the oilers are quite back yet, they definitely are getting back to form, so that’s very exciting to see. You can really see the difference in their game in the last two, they’ve been playing a full 60 minutes, and you can see how it’s really helped their game. Not only that, but Skinner seems to have gotten some confidence back and has been playing somewhat better, so that’s really nice.

Mcdavid takes the teams early failure personally. And is back to doing mcdavid things. And when he is on. More often than not it elevates the entire teams play. So yes hoping they keep it rolling and put themselves back in a better position

Fun couple games to watch…. They are showing some life which is great to see
Just a heads up has anyone watched Carolina's Jalen Chatfield a rhd a defensive defenseman with some foot speed & physical play closely? The guy is underrated & trending upward imo and would be a nice , quiet under the radar pick up for the Oilers that probalbly wouldn't cost too much to acquire.

Skinner was seriously shaky early on, wonder if he was threatened with being sent to the minors. Against a good team he would have been pulled after letting in 4 or 5 on 7 shots. Glad that he stayed in and had a chance to fight through it. Hopefully he can build on that.

Why should the NHL be worried, whether McDavid stays or not, who cares if he stays great if he goes oh well, spent 9 season and won nothing so maybe he should move after the year their having.
