You are right Yorkie, it isn't on Giroux, it is on the coach. I have seen shit teams dragged to the playoffs by a good coach with a system, DJ needs to go.

I'm thinking that maybe they should think about D pairings differently than what is the norm where you have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pairings. Why not have 3 more or less equal pairings with Chabot, Sanderson and Chychrun each playing around 20 minutes on the left side so you've always got a number 1 D on the ice and since they're playing 20 minutes they can go all out and fly. Pair two of them with Zub and JBD who has shown me that he belongs. Then decide on another RD. Maybe one with some physical game but with enough skill to play with any of the LD.
I know Chabot doesn't have the shot the other two have but I like him on the PP because he gets better results but the other 2 are not bad either. Good problem to have. Plus you have great insulation against any injury that might crop up here or there.
They just need to tinker a bit with depth up front and they can be quite a serious competitor for years to come.

Wally said it all, this is on the players, these guys don't know what it takes to be in the playoffs. Last night's game showed just how frickin-soft they play, damn it was an embarrassment for a professional team. Panthers had to laugh, the Sens were a joke. The players have to realize and learn from this they are the ones who did not show up for this game.
The team is full of talent, but they don't have a playing system. Championship teams know how to get it done as a unit.
"They don't know how to win" is bang on. They haven't developed a winning attitude and probably don't go into every game thinking they're going to win. This is a hump they have to get over.

There’s nobody with any mean streak besides Brady. This team Never ever is ready for puck drop,they have us fans sweating bullets for the first 10mins and are constantly chasing the game. My son text me after the game and said “Dad I don’t know how I can pay to watch this anymore I work to hard for my money and this is throwing it away”. How do I possibly argue with that. This team is a total disaster.
