    Details:

    – The #NYR don’t believe Kakko’s injury is season-ending, but he is expected to miss significant time

    – Chytil’s LTIR stint is retroactive to Nov. 3. He can be activated at any time, but this clears cap space for now.

    – Fox is expected to play tomorrow.

Well fuck… At least Kakko isn’t expected to be season ending.

I’d say kakko is out til playoffs at least

  4. Chytil is retroactive, right? So technically he could come off wednesday. Do we accrue what we would have in cap space over the past month or is it just from when he was offically placed on the LTIR

And fuckin sucks that as we were getting ready to have a full strength 3rd line with chytil, kakko goes down. Luckily, they are thinking kakko is not season ending, so hopefully back for playoffs. Also potentially means just ligament sprains or like a bone bruise so. Hopefully he would be able to ramp up to full play by april.

Saves us cap space for now. I am interested in Edstrom but i feel he is just gonna sit in the box while brodz plays

So the real question is, how much cap space does this team have? And will this LTIR stint’s impact the Rangers at the Trade Deadline? Like, who could they afford?

Why did Chytil not go on LTIR earlier and we could accrue more cap?

  7. Bread_man10

What do the Rangers deadline cap look like after all the LTIR moves?

  8. That was a scary headlines to read on Chytil. Phew.

I missed, what happened to Kakko last night?

Igor, Fox, Chytil, and now Kakko… All of them right after the team’s long time head trainer is unexpectedly and unceremoniously fired…

I half expected this to happen because *of course* it would. Sometimes it really does feel like we’re cursed. 😔

  11. Feels bad man, hope they make a speedy recovery

It wouldn’t clear much space, but I wonder why they’re not sending down Cuylle on off days like they did Schneider last year to clear cap?

Obviously it’d suck for Cuylle to only make AHL money on those off days, but as we found out last deadline, every penny matters.

Laf’s emergence is the one thing that makes this slightly less depressing
