He seems like a genuine guy in a really tough position
I don't get why they even had a press conference. He couldn't/wouldn't answer any questions, so why bother taking them? Just put out a press release and avoid annoying everyone with the annoyance of being so non transparent.

We may not know the exact details of what happened BUT i can for sure tell davidson will NOT tolerate toxic behavior in a work/team environment. From his shoes he signed perry 1 year 4 million and expected him to be a professional veteran teaching the youngsters only to be met with disappointment so whatever happened davidson has very right to be pissed and frustrated

They could have just traded him like Calgary did when Doug Gilmour was caught banging his kid's baby sitter. Usually hockey teams cover for their players but if teams want to be trusted they should share what really is going on because the speculation is much worse than the truth. Or at least we think it is.

its a workplace matter that does not involve players or their families, if u assume thats true thats leaves everyone else, probably 200 others and its not criminal and someone ratted him out, theft is criminal so that leaves violations of moral terpitude, if it was drugs i think they would say so maybe he was bangin the lady in the ticket booth, id highly discourage that but its not criminal, cant think of much else, i doubt the team would lie cuz if/when it comes out they be in hot water, add to that the pa and league didnt fuss and corey dont seem anxious to talk.

The rumours of any family member involvement should have been shut down the second their “investigation” concluded this. Connor Bedard is the future of this franchise and they’ve allowed them to be dragged through the mud. Disappointing after what this franchise is supposed to stand for in light of previous incidents.
Useless news conference with no relevant information. It is going to only create more problems. A wasted opportunity to clarify. If I am a free agent I avoid the Blackhawks at all costs! If I am Bedard, I ask for a trade.

They could have had Patrick Kane back for $2.5 million . Instead Corey Perry for $4 million. And Perry is 38 and Kane 35 years old. I thought the B-Hawks were taking a different path and getting young guys for the future.. Kane can still play . Shame to lose him.

NHL players, executives, and the media all know what happened, but in order to not get sued for libel they cannot say what happened.

The Streisand effect is strong with the way the Hawks are handling this. If it was a criminal matter he'd be under arrest by now so it can't be murder or something truly heinous.

It's more disgusting how an organization can have soo much dark clouds around it and no transparency at all, perry is going to get his full salary unless what really happened is released.
if this took close to 2 weeks to come out, it must of been one hell of an investigation affecting multiple levels (staff, coach, players, etc) of the organization…
