If you would have told me 10 years ago that Patrick Kane would one day be a Red Wing, I would have gotten a restraining order against you. What a surreal day.

Well, i don’t mind the contract.
I just mind the player, though if he isn’t washed then obviously he should be a solid contributor moving forward the rest of the season.
I believe this means Detroit can attract free agents again. Holland and Babcock weren’t helping for sure.

I think a one year contract is the right move. Not many/any NHL players have done well after that surgery…..Hope he’s the exception to the rule, tho
