That said Edstrom is a massive Swede who’s been hot in Hartford atm so kinda excited to see how he does.

Very excited for Othmann but I agree with this move. Just keep letting him play PP and big minutes in the A. I can def see a call up later in the year

Mackey going back almost definitely means Fox is going off LTIR
I’m actually pretty excited for Brodzinski. He’s tearing up the A. People seem to forget that former captain Ryan Callahan was called up 4 times before cracking the lineup for good.

Was hoping Brodz would stick earlier this season but he blew his chance in that minny game with turnovers and poor d-zone play.
He’s got speed, hustles, and can shoot. Underrated passer too.
It’s his defensive play imo that isn’t what you need in the bottom 6. 3RW may be ideal for him though.
At 30, think it’s fair to say he probably would have stuck if he was good enough, but it’s nice when strong AHL performers are rewarded with an NHL role. Sets a good standard for the org.
I am curious why Edstrom was also called up. Big guy. Could cause havoc on a line with a Cuylle maybe?
Meanwhile, hope Kakko heals soon. Shame the kid’s just not got it going.
