That really should have been two points for Florida. I don’t know why Tkachuk can’t score so far this year, but he hasn’t looked the part… and so much fumbling around the net this game.
Barkov for the love of everything needs to score in the damn shootout. He hasnt been good since the presidents trophy season and now is just ass. If they were to win that game he had to score in the shootout but after that just nothing. Then Cousins hitting the post and Tkachuk missing wide open net just frustrating why cant anyone besides Reino shoot the puck well. I want to see them work on finishing and shooting because it has been a problem all season long, shown just how bad it is in the shootout. Too many opportunities wasted in that.
Montreal game ref ends up with puck stuck in between his ass cheeks, he falls into the goal and they call it a good goal Panthers lose.
We absolutely outplayed Toronto. We deserved that win.
It's unfortunate when officials decide games and they tried for the last 7 minutes of the game plus over time and then finally got their way in the shootout. Very unfortunate for the Panthers.
Ive seen at least 10 times this season where the goalie will be already down or open net and the goalie slides over in a last ditch effort and they drill it right into the goalie when all they literally have to do is chip the puck 1 ft and a half into the net to score and they decide to send a rocket into the pads, like Ekblad last night. Maurice has to work on shooting with these guys apparently because thats not what finishers do. I find it even more crazy is that Cousins did better in the shootout than mostly everyone else, he just hit the post, everyone else just broke down.

I still cant believe they called the Rodrigues shootout goal back. Initially I thought it was a good goal and they won. At the same time, I guess there was a reason it had to be called back. The Double Tap is a no-no in shootouts (at least according to the NHL). Then again, deep down I wished they'd let him get away with it lol. Oh well.
Despite the loss, the Panthers, in my opinion, played a pretty good Defensive game up until the 3rd period. That's something positive to take out of tonight's contest. Stolarz was mostly solid until the 3rd period for that matter.
Side note: Maurice should not let Cousins shoot in the shootout. I'm sure that a lot of Panthers media folks (especially on Twitter) are going to talk all about that.
I told Kyle two things after the game: 1) Better to get one point rather than zero and 2) Better to be a Panthers fan than a Blackhawks fan right now.
Let's process this one, learn from our mistakes, and go take down Montreal on Thursday. Go Panthers Go. 🐯🏒

Absolutely right about scoring just one, toronto had the same issue. Panthers played well enough to win. Maybe if this was the first game of back-to-back, they would have been sharper scoring wise. Just rest for a day, win against montreal since their level of play is good enough, and get 5 points out of 6.
