I couldn’t watch tonight, but just saw this replay. Fingers crossed it’s not as bad as it looks…

I’m sure the conversation around here about this will be civil

To the first sentence of that tweet, please god no. And to the last sentence, please god no.

I really don’t mind Kane. I don’t think he’s gonna be our savior or even a top 5 player on the team but we need depth at wing. And he’s essentially free 2.5mil for a year and not having to give up any assets is not bad at all. And when Chytil comes back imagine if our third line was Cullye-Chytil-Kane. Like come on

Kane this, Kane that…. How about Tarasenko?!

Ottawa is a fucking dumpster fire and I highly doubt they make the playoffs. It’s early, but it doesn’t look good for them. Gotta wonder what the asking price is, because he was a perfect fit on this team last year. Way less of a risk than PK88. I’d probably give up any prospect not-named Othmann, Cuylle, Perrault, or Sykora for him (if it means we can re-sign him after this year to another 3/4 years).

If it’s not obvious, I miss him dearly

I know he signed a contract extension but go get me zucc please

  7. Had a similar injury. I’d be shocked if he’s not out for a very long time. Mine was torn ligaments.

That does buy 1 Corey Perry at 50% retained. Just keep him away from the moms.

Put on LTIR him and Chytill and do what tampa did

The bottom line is, would Kane be better than Kakko’s been?

Hell yes. Kakko has been dead weight.

  11. Why go after kane when all history points towards him not being able to play after the surgery? Why go after him when ottawa is a shitshow right now and senko will probably be available?

There are other options that can/will be more rewarding without the massive risk

Ouch. I really hope it’s not as bad as it looks, love the Kakko taco. All seriousness though good chance to call up Othmann and see where that goes. With him and Chythil out I’m pretty sure we have enough room for a 1RW. (Tarasenko? 👀)

To me this opens the door for having money for Anthony Duclair who’d be perfect for 1RW

  14. Markbigb1

How about opening a door for vesey? He’s been good and earned more time.

If Kane returns to form, he’d be the first professional in any sport to do so after that type of hip resurfacing surgery (I know he signed with yzerman but still)

Kane is a st. Louis blue. Kaako is not season ending.
