J’ai eu le luxe d’être à Denver pour le match Avs contre Lightning lundi soir. C’est toujours un meilleur match que tout ce que les Bears ont proposé sur Monday Night Football. Avantages : les fans de l’Avs sont bruyants. Ball Arena me rappelle Reunion Arena car elle est construite un peu plus vers le haut que vers l’extérieur. L’avant-match est amusant, il y a une ligne de batterie (Vegas a copié les Avs, j’en suis sûr parce que putain de VGK) qui joue dans toute l’arène. Ils ont également une introduction sympa pour le début de la troisième période. Nous avons pris le tramway jusqu’à la gare et il vous dépose juste devant l’arène, pas en face d’un parking. Quelques chiens présents ont été mis en évidence sur le tableau vidéo. Ils ont battu le Lightning. Les fans étaient cool quand j’ai dit que j’étais un fan des Stars. Inconvénients : vous devez vous asseoir parmi les fans de l’Avs. Ils ne crient pas « Étoiles ! » pendant l’hymne. Ils crient quelque chose à propos du drapeau toujours là mais peu importe. Leur mascotte est un chien. Ils mettent « Allons Av-a-lanche » dans une acclamation, cela semble ridicule. Dans l’ensemble, je recommande vivement de regarder un match à Ball Arena. Bonne nourriture (les hot-dogs aux élans étaient super) et bonne ambiance. Mais sérieusement. F les Avs et c’est parti les Stars !

I lived in Denver for two years, went to…. five or so games while I was there.
It’s a good time. The people are generally nice, the stadium has good sight lines, and the games have been good.
I’m happy you were able to ride the train to the arena. Did you ride it home? When I lived there, the last train was at like 9pm – much too early to take reliably.
It must be completely different when it’s not the Stars playing them. We live in CO now and go to every game when Dallas comes up. The Avs fans are the absolute worst out of any that I’ve ever been to. We’ve had beer purposely spilled on us, my wife was spit on as we left the game after the Avs won, and much much more. The last game of the season last year actually had some cool fans sitting next to us that we chatted with quite a bit. However, the lady sitting behind us started chewing them out for even talking with us because we’re the enemy!
Thank you for your Reconnaissance mission. This is good. We need to get inside their heads, in their homes (home ice), and see how the enemy thinks haha.
We’ve been there, but it was a while ago (still the Pepsi Center, I believe) at a time when the Avs were bad. We had upper level seats, but the attendance was low enough that they had closed most of the concession stands on that level. I imagine it is a little more exciting these days, lol.
