Lindgren continues to be superman and bailing out the team. Gotta get that offence going. A lot of these shots against are more to do with the offence not getting zone time rather than poor defence.

There should absolutely be a new rule in the NHL for those coaches challenges regarding offsides, if the offside occurs more than a minute before a goal is called then it shouldn’t count as offside.
The Kings look vicious this year. When all the pieces come together they are damn dangerous. For how many times they hit the post tonight it could have easily been 7-2.

Caps blocked a lot of shots also. It was a tilted game the entire time. Kudos to that third line also McMichael/Mantha/Protas really those guys are starting to click.

After losing a game to the Sharks that the Caps outplayed them it is nice to see Karma give us one that the Kings deserved.

I’m a Canucks fan that is hoping for LA to start going on a losing streak.
This game doesn’t make me believe that’ll happen. Even in a loss, this felt like just a game where LA still played great but didn’t have the bounces go their way (no disrespect to Washington, victory was well earned). I feel like they’re right now the best team in the Pacific even with the loss.

Rarely have I’ve seen Gavrikov eff up, but he did on that 2 on 1. You almost always cover the pass, and let the goalie take on the puck handler at an angle. Instead he did a nifty move to close down the puck handler, but he already had in mind to pass the puck, since Gavrikov left it open for a pass. If you let a puck handler pass across on a 2 on 1, it’s equivalent of a penalty kick in soccer. It’s over a 75 percent chance it going in the net.

Well 4 regulation losses all of them LA just flat out got goalied sucks but happens on to CBJ
The Caps have a great goalie tandem. But they seem to play a little harder when Charlie is in the nets. He's very likeable and I think they try harder for him by blocking shots and playing better defense when he is standing on his head in the nets. When the Caps do lose a game, it hasn't been because of their goalies. Both have played really well this year.

Definitely got goalied but that's also a gutsy win by the Capitals team in front of him. The amount of blocked shots was insane. Frustrating but the Kings played well
So Shannon, it's fairly likely Rogan was somewhere between somewhat high and really really f'ing high when he did that, so that might be the best he could do. 😛
Could be wrong but you sound a little frustrated that kings didn’t win that game, but good on the caps for bending while refusing to break. Caps are winning games and that’s all that matters, if only Ovi or the pp could get going
The Capitals were definitely outplayed in this game, but there are a couple of good things they can take from the game. The first is very obvious, that Lindgren is awesome. The second is that they had an excellent shooting percentage.
Many times this year, the Capitals have had a low shooting percentage in a game, and it's happened enough times that it's not bad luck – it's that they're taking low quality shots. They didn't get many shots in this game, but they did get some high quality shots at least.
Oh, and at least they never went on the power play, so they didn't have to show off how horrific their power play is. They'll complete November with zero power play goals as a team.
