  1. Guy keeps getting passed around like an old rumor despite having size and using it. Disgruntled…? This is your fifth team in a decade…maybe YOU'RE the issue.

  2. Thumbs up to the front office for not just talking. Sadly, the Canucks will likely lose to an angry LV tonight after dropping 3 straight and with 1st place in the division on the line. And that idea is currently being reinforced with a 2-0 LV lead. Cheers Shannon on your tireless work here!

  3. heck of a gm their in toronto?

flames trade the guy for a 4th pick in 2024 and a third pick in 2026. Leafs GM couldn't beat that? Wow , even the Dufas could of pulled that one off for toronto,

  4. So he’s not a team player, that’s what is I read out of this. Send him back to Russia would’ve been better.

  5. Interesting i honestly think he's overraded. I though the leafs would habe tried to make it work.

  6. It’s too bad Zadorov isn’t as good as he thinks he is. 5th team in 10 years. When he’s on, he’s good, but he will also give Canuck fans a heart attack

  7. Looks like a nice trade; adds to depth and size on D. I’d like to see them add size up front as well. They seem to be having a hard time pushing through tight checking lately.

  8. Seems fair value wise, 3rd and a 5th for a bottom pair dman is about right. Just feels underwhelming since the guy has been so hyped up lately

  9. The Calgary Flames would be crazy to trade Tanev – a first rd. pick would not be as good as Tanev! The Flames did ok I think with the trade for Nikita Zadorov. Clear cap room and get a few picks back. I would have like a few young players back instead of the picks.

  10. It APPEARS that the Canucks won the trade deal (today). However, what will be the real measurement in the future? I love Zadorov's play especially lately, but it was not so long ago when Flames fans wanted him out. He was prone to streaks of defensive lapses, and stupid penalties that hurt the team. The Flames accomplished one major boon, freeing up cap space. They also opened a position to bring in another player from the farm club like a Coronato, but also others. The assumption by most is a 3rd round draft pick could never produce a player of Zadorov's quality. I am no prophet but I think to see this current Zadorov trade might not be all that devastating for the Flames.

  11. Nice pickup but it’s not enough to make them good enough for a deep playoff run. They play every second game like they’re completely hungover.

  12. Canucks been rebuilding their defense since the off season while Edmonton thinks they dont need a great defense because they think McDavid can do it all. lol.

  13. It’s weird seeing the canucks make smart moves. I’m glad they are under better management after suffering for years.

  14. I don't understand why some people think Calgary got fleeced. I think that this trade is fair for both teams. Zadorov cost the Flames a 3rd to acquire; they had his services for 2.25 seasons, and still received a 3rd and a 5th round draft pick after his agent requested a trade. Calgary picks up valuable Cap Space. As a bonus, I believe that by trading him early, the Flames have pushed up their potential trade returns for Hanifin and Tanev at the TDL.
For Vancouver, they get a big defence-man that can skate well, hit hard, and play either side. Be forewarned, his miscues at both ends of the ice can turn some games into real adventures. He is seeking 2nd pairing salary and minutes, but IMHO, Big Z plays at his best with bottom pairing minutes.
