  1. Well, in about 48 hours or so, Zadorov will face his former team. This should be interesting to say the least.

  2. This is a great trade but the comparison you made to Myers makes me a little anxious. I hope Zadorov thrives in Vancouver.

  3. tryamkin with a scoring touch. might want to extend him if he produces and is a fit. i take back all the shade i was throwing on this management team. toronto went hard to get this guy. welcome to the beach, nikita.

  4. I always liked zadorov when he played for the avs. His contract seems steep but he's also a big bruiser of a player. He lays out hits that make me wish he weren't in the western conference.

  5. Do a trade tree of how all the pieces had to land to get Zadorov

Including Corey Perry incident, it was a perfect storm

  6. This has been a wild ride as a Canucks fan and after all the trades we used to make its crazy we can just keep pulling off good trades this season

  7. 5D chess move to pounce on the opportunity to clear cap space to Chicago and get a dman that we need on the back end. Alvin trades and drafts have been a majority W's here

  8. Zadorov isnt a defensivly sound player. He makes alot of bad passes and is almost incompetent out there. The one thing he brings is his size and crushing hits. Calgary did ok in getting the picks for him they certainly didnt lose anything in dealing him.

  9. Another shortsighted move by Allvin; sell the future for a temporary fix. The hive mind is so unaware 😂

    Npcs down here 👇

  10. so is this effectively
    horvat a 2023 2nd and a 2026 3rd for

filip hronek, atu raty, nikita zadorov and 2023 4th

    very nice

  11. Not to take away from the moment. But Imagine what assets could have been gathered, and what future this team could have had, if Alvin and company where here earlier to not let guys like Toffoli, Tanev, Markstrom, Hamhouise and more walk away for nothing. Where trending up though.

  12. Fleeced calgary and all the calgary flames fans saying hes a 3rd lin pairing when he lays out huby or Kadri theyll be saying we shouldve gotten a second hahahahahaha love alvin is on fire this year

  13. Im perfectly fine with trading away any 3rd,4th,5th,6th etc draft picks because there’s a 90% chance that you are not going to get a regular NHL player with picks that night. This trade is an absolute steal!

  14. zadorov is a bum and a toxic locker room guy, that's why they practically gave him away, they couldn't wait to get him out of there lol

you make reallt good thumbnails though lol

  15. It's a trade. Let's see how he fits in. If it works , then our D has been transformed. I'm waiting to see how they all play in the next 3 weeks.

  16. If you think the canucks robbed the flames when they got zedorov, you obviously know nothing about him. He's a bottom pair defenceman who likes to give the puck away 3 or 4 times per game. The flames got back more than they paid for him, AND the canucks are paying his full salery. Trust me, this is NO robbery

  17. And none of this would've happened if it wasn't for Corey Perry screwing up. Thank you Mr. Perry!

  18. This is pure revenge for Canucks fans having suffering through Benning all these years. Amazing things Alvin has done despite being handcuffed by all those terrible Bennings deal.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  19. The Canucks have been by far the wildest turn around this season. Im not a Canucks fan, but I was fully on board them tanking last season when they sucked so much for the chance to get Bedard. And when they instead traded picks for players I thought they were insane and a lost cause. Everything they did last season seemed idiotic. I thought Miller needed to be traded, probably Boeser too for a lot. of draft capital, to maximize the chances of getting the two hometown players of Bedard and Celebrini.

Then this season absolutely everything just works.

The other one for me is LA. I look at that team and it just seemed old and washed up or full of rookies (basically both at the same time). And yet that also works.
Obviously I am not a GM and shouldn't be. And most armchair GMs would indeed be worse GMs than even the worst GMs in the league.

  20. If Kent Johnson is unhappy in Columbus would C. Garland, a 1st and someone like Räty or Lekkerimäki do it?

  21. Lets just see how zadorov performs , he was upset about not getting ice time, but calgary didnt think he was good enough to play higher.

There wasnt alot of downsides to the trade though, if he can play like schenn and grab top 4 minutes he will be a steal. If he can't, then the trade is still ok. Tidy work from the canucks.

I made plenty of comments as to why toronto wouldnt get zadorov, or rather shouldnt aswell. Calgary's owner was not a fan that trieliving walked on the flames. If a trade happened with toronto it would have been a complete overpay on torontos end. This trade also highlights how badly calgary did NOT want to deal with toronto or retain salary. They moved zadorov to a competing team, instead of out of conference.
