The Panthers job is very attractive. David Tepper is made out of money.
It’s a crap job. No first pick. That trade set the Panther organization back 5 years. If BY is a bust it will take longer to win. An owner who acts like the Donald. Who wants to put up meeting with Tepper every Monday and deal with that narcissist every Monday after game days

A young coach might think twice before taking this job just because you don’t want to waste what might be your only opportunity. I say wasted because you might not even get a full season to prove yourself.

Someone is gonna come here with the intention of being the Panthers HC. They're not gonna go into week 1 2024 with a vacant HC opening. Becuae of Bryce Young and the fact that you have an established qb to work with there's gonna be a lot of interest. A lot of people said the same thing about thr Texans last year o who would want to work as the Hc of that dysfunctional team ? and look how the Texans are rn, they seemed to have been able to turn things around rather pretty quickly.
The best appealing thing about this job besides money and bryce young is the division itself. You're coaching a team in the worst division in football the pitiful NFC South. You can turn this team around rabter quickly as long as you don't tripwire and stumble all over yourselves. You have a defense to work with as well. As long as you don't do anything stupid, you'll still have that side of the ball to count on and be able to work with.
Coach is gonna be coaching a team in the worst division in football. It's not like they're coming to a team that has to go up against Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Mike Tomlin ND the Steelers twice a year. You're competition is the saints in Dennis Allen who's a bad coach and who saints fans don't like, Derek Carr who's the worst Redzone qb in NFL HISTORY, Desmond Shitter and FedEx Smith, and Todd Bwoles and Bake Midfield
Cap space isn't gonna be an issue. According to over the cap rn the team is projected to have over 50 million in cap space. There's moves to make on some of these guys on the roster that can easily bump that number of cap space up to around 70 million or close to 80 million

Fuckit, I want the job. Id fail, but Tepper would overpay for too long. For $20m I'm perfectly fine with being the bad guy and scapegoat for Tepper.

The easiest fix is get a big back and run until you can fix the Oline get guys off contract. draft defense and linemen. Wilkes had the right idea. HC is different to OC. If you have 3 yr plan and accept in this division 9 maybe 8 wins gets you to playoffs and accept that Belichek might be the guy to build the franchise and establish the systems and succession plan.
What up and coming coach wouldn't want to come to NC where the weather is nice , NASCAR ,basketball teams college and pro ,beautiful lake homes and golf courses and the number one college quarterback from last years draft class . Plenty of coaches would love that opportunity 👍.
