  1. Confidence, lots of effort and the boys are back, great to see you’re feeling better today and a win always helps with the health.

  2. For once, the defence won it for the oilers. They kept the game only trailing by 1 for the entire game, preventing amazing opportunities the entire time, and Nurse gave the go ahead goal for them to win it. Skinner also played great. Totally looked fantastic tonight!!!

  3. What a game. Looks like Knoblauch is doing something that Woodcroft wasn't, as much as I liked him. Skinner was great, D was great, and the whole team was tight. Wow

  4. Nice to see the D-men clicking. Maybe keeping the lines consistent has helped. Glad McLeod is on the board but he still needs some guidance. Go Oilers!

  5. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Winnipeg Jets. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones provided to give a foundation. It took 3 websites to gather all of these stats.

3 Stars: 3-Hyman (1 Assist Empty Netter), Perfetti (1 Goal), Draisaitl (1 Goal, GWG)

Apparently the 1 Goal and 1 Assist McLeod got weren't considered good enough though he led scoring and they gave a star to Hyman who's only assist was on McLeod's goal

This was a Goalie fight and a D fight. Jets got a PP goal late in the first, no scoring in the second then the Oilers got a lucky one from Nurse that dribbled over the line followed by a one timer PP goal by Draisaitl and an Empty Netter by McLeod (who also had a Primary Assist on the Nurse goal). The Oilers dominated in the faceoff circle (44 to 18) and the Jets blocked a lot more shots (18 to 8) but they faced 13 more shots than the Oilers did. This was actually a pretty great game all things considered. It's nice to see the Oilers can lock it down when facing a lock it down team. Nice to see McLeod get his first goal of the season (in GAME 22 FGS). Just a note: It's getting harder to get some of the stats (example, giveaways and takeaways are no longer provided on either Sportsnet or NHL websites, you have to search elsewhere) and you have to look for it too as it's buried in sub-tables. It may mean that some stats drop off the list. I like consistency when looking at analytics and the site I got the Giveaways / Takeaways from uses it's own way of registering other things. I'll just do my best as long as I can and hope it helps. Take care all.

  6. Sucks. In one season I've gone from "I hope to see McDavid raise a cup soon" to "I hope the Oilers miss the playoffs". Screw that team and their drama queen coach killing bs. I now rank them down there with the lowly Bedardhawks in "yucky factor".

No offense to the channel op, I enjoy the enthusiasm and content…I'm just over McDrai and the stupid way the team is constructed. Years from now the incredible waste of talent in Edmonton will be looked upon as how not to do much of anything in the nhl. Four first OAs + Draisaitl at 3rd OA…and it's down to this season and next to show it wasn't for nothing? I think it has already been squandered and only a miraculous cup win can even begin to undo that legacy.

  7. Enjoy the delusion. Reality is coming . . . No new goalie, goalie coach not fired, woodcroft not back, no buckstad, no kostin, nothing has changed. Oilers were lucky hellabuck had a bad night.
