Enough has been said about the defense, but at some point underperforming your expected goals is no longer a puck luck problem
people are going to blame defense but you know its bad when both goalies are letting in the most pathetic goals in. Another game where their goalie looks better than ours

But for real holy shit. I knew we couldn’t go to the Finals every year forever, but I wasn’t expecting that.

Yeah, something has to change. I don’t know what, but this team is not okay.
The real issue here is we have no depth. Stamkos is a pp merchant. Point Is not play driving as well as he has before. We have 4 top 6 forwards and 8-9 bottom 6 forwards. 2-3 of those are fringe nhlers. And we have 3 top 4 dman and 3-4 fringe nhl dman.
Pair that with a terrible defensive scheme and play. And sub par goaltending. It’s going to be very hard to win games.
They’ve shown at times they can still complete. Just no consistency and lacking urgency. But mainly depth.
I got tickets to this game as a wedding present.
I think I might need to get a divorce.

Fucking ouch. I’m just gonna leave it at that so I don’t go off on a rant again lol. We can’t keep being this team.

Absolute joke. This team is making millions of dollars to not even care. Scratch them all and ice the Crunch.
This team has given up. Seriously they don’t hate to lose anymore. I’m not seeing any frustration on the part of the players. I watch the post game interviews and it’s the same speech every time. This locker room is lost and if Stamkos wants that contract he needs to hold a players only meeting and be the captain. Same goes for all the guys wearing an A on their jerseys. It’s not a talent issue, it’s a motivation issue and this team has NONE right now. The Carolina game has shown to be a fluke, not the trend.
Goaltending. Our shots on goal have been high lately. Today just as many as Dallas. The difference? Goaltending. We have a mid level (at best) AHL caliber backup and a prime who’s recovering from back surgery witb zero preason and limited practice. Goaltending.
Some trash asses. If I wasn’t so high, my day would be ruined.
Not a playoff team this year
I’m glad I was out of town to miss this game. My only response to this is “Ow. My balls.”
Vas is getting no defensive support and Point is just not performing to his standard.
As good as a job JBB did in bringing the missing parts to get us cups, he’s done an equally bad job in filling those holes from departing veterans.
Hagel is really the only one worth what he paid for. He just really missed on those cheap undervalued guys that we could great production from. I look what our in state rivals have done in that department..
Forsling was a waiver claim.
Bennett, Vergaeghe, and Lustorainen were gotten for cheap and gave them great production before they got paid.
Jeannot and Paul are the anti that.
Chernak and Sergachev are being paid to be the new Hedman/McDonagh – to become leaders on the blue line, to set the tone for the Defense – and both have not come close to earning those contracts.
