……and still the Blackhawks lose. They are now level on points with the team that had the worst start in NHL history, and are lucky in the fact they've 2 games in hand. But that doesn't change the fact that at the moment, the team and the organization is dead in the water.

Jets have a lot of depth compared to last year, with the additions of Namestikov, Villardi,
Iaffalo, and Kupari, acquired from the LA Kings trade. Be interesting to see how they do
this year. Hard to tell with this team, but the talent is there to finish at least 2nd in the
Central Division. We'll see how they do next game, against a tough Carolina team. At times
this team like like worldbeaters, then they go into a slump. I'd like to see some consistency.

Competitive teams have a good defence. I don’t know who thinks that Jones and Murphy are quality defencemen. It is interesting how unimportant defence seems to be until it matters. The forwards get all the attention and the big bucks but defence wins Stanley cups. Go back and consider the defence the Hawks had during their cup victories. Bedard will have to score four goals a game for this team to be competitive!!
