This team is destined to lose in the first round again as constructed. Until the construction changes for the better, they are first round exit upside. I don't care what the regular season points are. I don't care if they win every regular season game by 500 goals and allow negative shots in each game. You've won 1 second round game (not series, GAME) with this core in over half a decade. The core should've been broken up years ago and the fact that Dubas got fired the second he thought to do it shows me that Shanahan needs to go when this team fails in the first round again. Hell, he probably still needs to go even if you make it past the first round. Anything short of a Cup Final appearance is a failure for this core. Excuses aren't gonna get you free Leafs tickets, Leafs fans. Start being honest about this team if you want them to do well. A real fan would do that.

Fun fact on Leaf Goaltending. While not always their fault..(minus Sammy). We get scored on by shot 4…FOUR… in more than half our games. Imagine we had scary meat on D instead of knobs like Morgan Orr who insist on leading rushes???.. You know, instead of holding the line like a pro, knowing he has half the F'n cap to pass to?
