I know we’re only a quarter through the season, but with injuries to Dach/Newhook, a top-10 (if not top-5) pick is looking more and more likely. Barring us getting someone like Celebrini/Demidov/Eiserman, I’m getting excited about Cayden Lindstrom. Crazy hands, speed, and shot for someone his size — could round out our top six quite nicely.

His growth this year has looked really special. Seems to be rapidly adding to his game, and his profile has a lot of similarity to Dach.

Could be a great fit for Montreal, though it’ll be interesting to see what his final draft ranking ends up being. There’s still a lot of time left in the season and players built like him tend to rise as it is.

  3. Dialectical

Him and slaf would be a nightmare matchup in a few years

  4. Longshanks123

22 goals in 27 WHL games as a giant 17 year old is a crazy pace … if he keeps it up he’s probably going top 3-5

  5. ItsGaryMFOak

6’5 Lindstrom, 6’4 Dach and 6’3 Slafkovsky would be such a fun line

  6. Maple-Surple

If we don’t win the lottery, but somehow come out of the draft with this guy, I would be ecstatic

  7. Would prefer Eiserman if some GMs big brain a defender.

  8. Grizz709

Should we? Probably. Realistically? I’d say we draft too high for him to be available. Unless Hughes has another pick I cannot remember/ or he can get one at the deadline

  9. some gm will probably take him before but if we end up in that 6-8 range and he’s available id take a chance, not sure id want the habs to use something higher on him (at least not yet)

  10. Fundingforis6

This guy is going 2nd overall book it

  11. Him and Dickinson are my favourite prospect in this class. It would be a dream come true if we get one of them
