The lapses on those goals by the sharks were absolutely unreal. If I’m the coach I’m laying into every guy for getting lax and Romanov especially for blowing coverage on both goals. I just don’t see how they make these mistakes again and again. Lane has got to be incompetent or he’s lost the room.

I can’t begin to count how many times Mayfield has had control of the puck in crucial situations and fails to make a good play or clear the zone. He’s been historically bad at specifically that for years.

what’s even more frustrating is the metro is wide open. The Rangers are rolling fine, but the devils and canes have tendy issues (swiss cheese in net) and are not even remotely as good as they were hyped to be. The canes only have 4 more wins than us?? thats 4 third periods we should have back The flyers and caps occupy the next two spots and neither have the depth or ability to contend or keep their runs going. It’s early but right now this is the time to build a cushion to ensure home ice and instead of easily being in the top 3 of the metro we lose to bottom feeders.
