You cry that the forward group is too soft and wont go to the net, well Robinson will bring some much needed size who will go to the net unlike most other Sabres forwards . Hopefully his actions and work ethic will intice other Sabres forwards to work harder !
He is UFA at the end of the season like Girgenson ,Okposso, Jost & Olofsson so he is hardly blocking Kulich from being a full time Sabres next season .

Umm we hired a GM with zero hockey management history. And a coach that hasn't coached a playoff game since 2003-2004. How did you expect this to go? There isn't an assistant coach that's worth a dime on the Sabres or Amerks. (I like Appert though) We let Peca walk for the Rangers job & his centers went from 28th to 1st in faceoffs. Matt Ellis has never coached before & we gave him the job over Peca. It's a loser organization from top to bottom. BTW since 2004 Granato has had (41) 4 or more game losing streaks as a coach (head or asst). With an 18, 13, 11, (2) 9's, (4) 8's, (4) 7's, (6) 6's, (5) 5's & (17) 4 game losing streaks.
You make a great point about okie. I also think the sabres wanted to help him get 1,000 games. Nice guy, but you are right about his skating it’s a hinderance. Also seeing sloppy passing and spacing. The turnover that keeps frustrating me the most is a fwd skating into the off zone along the wall, stopping a stride before the circle and doing a 180, then trying to pass to a defenseman coming into the zone 5 feet away. Pass gets picked and an odd man rush starts the other way.
No goalie would make this team good. The system they play is set up to fail. No responsibility on defense, guys are floating around in the neutral zone while they are hemmed in their own end trying to breakout, no willingness to win puck battles in ANY end. Levi, UPL, Comrie, Miller, Hasek, Roy. Doesn't matter who. This ORGANIZATION (even in Rochester) DOES NOT SYSTEMATICALLY DO WELL DEFENSIVELY.
They do have a lot to play for still Joe! Want to see them competitive like end of last season. And most of all,Can't wait to see Devon Levi again!
I said it as soon as they signed Okposo to this year wrong move very poor decision by management. It's so maddening looking back at years when we had competent leadership on the ice, like Chris Drury. We had a captain who could actually skate and make plays and score big goals, now you look at us now and our captain can barely skate can barely shoot and is super behind every play. Joe, you are dead on and are saying everything I've been thinking since before the season started.
Levi should stay in Roch, we can't risk rushing him. He's where he should be. I thought Comrie could at least hold down minimal backup duties but there's no denying it, he's had his shot and he's just not it. Especially for a team that plays as bad defensivly as we do. So what do we do?

Joe, I've been to 5 home games so far this season and they've only had the lead for 2.5 minutes. End of the Pens games….that's it. Pathetic.
The Wings definitely have their problems, but as of right now, they are “that good”. I’m sorry buffalo is so god awful right now. I really thought Buffalo and the Sens would be doing better.
