  1. We HAVE to get rid of Tyler Meyers….he struggles so bad with the puck. He cost us 2 goals last night for sure!

  2. Referencing Petey, watched him closely throughout last nights game and he seems to have lost a gear…he looks average right now

  3. Kuzmenko is a player that he has to score and generate offense to be valuable to this team. He isn't great defensively, so can't be trusted with PK or defensive duties. These players rely on elite talent offesnive instinct and skills to drive and generate offense, which he was able to do last year. This year, he is still getting the chances, but because the puck wasn't going in for him, he thinks too much, and don't play with the instincts that made him successful last year. There were so many plays last night wree he had the puck, at a prime area and he choose to pass or wait too long for a shot. He just needs to know that if keeps shooting those pucks, eventually one will go in for him. I don't think he is as bad as people labeling him to be, because he still going to the right areas and getting the scoring chances. Biggest conern with him other than confidence is he seems to be too weak on pucks. He doesn't win puck battles and often has trouble receiving passes. Opposing team players can easily knock the puck off of him by applying more pressure. I think this is also a good wake up call for him to take his off-season training more seriously that instead of traveling all around the world and train in Bali, he should be dedicating about 2-3 weeks time for vacation/travel and then for the rest of the summer, get to a prime location NA or Europe and be more serious with training with other NHLers.

  4. jannick was the best 9th round pick to ever wear a canucks jersey. JR said this was a playoff team if everything goes right. injuries are showing that he was spot on.

  5. Heard Hansen give an excellent breakdown yesterday on the radio of how penalty killing pairs should work. He knows how to make points quickly, and explains things very well.

  6. I'm so sick of us losing to the stupid devils… I mean wtf Canucks ? Its JUST the devils and they haven't been that good frankly. If this team can't get super pumped for the Devils after losing this many games than there's something wrong with these players mental situation.

  7. I agree with Hansen that Soucy, and I would add Pius Suter, going down, means folks are not slotted as ideally. Hoping they get back to being better than .500 hockey.

  8. Meyers is a problem and this new dean is even worse so far. The 6th goalie last night was a total break down on defense but yet again. I feel so sorry for Foot. He has his work cut out with what he has to work with.

  9. I love Jannik takes, he shoots from the hip. I can see the team as of late struggling with consistency of play, it's a bit Jekyll and hide at the moment and they've definitely levelled off. Our D seems to be struggling to defend the front of the net again which is concerning and there's stretches where they look really unorganized and chaotic. We are losing to the good teams which is telling, we'll see. What I'm noticing too is this team passes too much, trying for the perfect/pretty setup rather than getting the puck on net or to the net. They need to be OK with dirty/ugly/greasy goals. I counted like 6 or 7 times last night where a player had a lane or shot and they passed it instead and didn't even get a shot on net.

  10. The Canucks and Leafs are two of the teams that consistently come back and lose when the stats typically favour the team that comes from multi goals down (like 80%). I was pretty sure they were going to lose, they simply were not playing well enough to win, those defensive breakdowns, holy shit, I thought those were gone, if this turns back into the Bruce team, we are going to be the team that misses the playoffs.

  11. Hansen is great. I’d like to see him as an analyst at Sportsnet or something. I think he’s got a great eye for the game and makes his points well. I’ve always been impressed by his analysis.

  12. We seen Myers mistakes far to long well said ! I been watching this team a long time, if you combined jurki lumme edler and Adrian plavsics give aways …it still wouldnt equal Myers in his 4 years here. He coughes up pucks tape to tape, gets beat like a pylon, gets 1 goal a year, goes on solo rushes that end up no where but having forwards cover his ass, takes far to many lazy and stupid penalties, specially last year with a fragile pk. im not sure what media see in this guy . he plays his best hockey with one hand on his stick deflecting pucks out of play. not even worth luke schenns 800k from last year get rid of this bum to abby

  13. At 2:45 of video J.H is correct and this translates to the " problem with the NHL " as a product . 82 games is too much . The owners will not reduce the number of games at 82 , the NHLPA should bargain for every player can take 3-4 rest days if needed per season. Teams should have expanded roster , carry 5 more players who can slot in for road trips or back to back game nights. Who wants to watch tired players or injured players struggle ? I don't want to watch a concert when the lead singer has a sore throat.
    Thanks for reading .

  14. IMHO he needs to coach I LOVED him as a player. #36 always had my attention. I think him and malholtra need to be re added to the team and org. There is a reason Toronto picked him up.

  15. team luck suck, luck sucked their way back into the game. i still expect this team to be at .500 at the end of the year.
