  1. I think Vancouver outplayed the Devils for about 70-80% of that game. Demko did not have a great start but they came back and tied it. I agree with your analysis!

  2. I mean they havent been getting the results recently so we'll see they will make the playoffs cause the West is pretty bad but im interested to see how they do in the playoffs

  3. As a devils fan I can safely tell everyone this. That game was NOT surprising for any devil fan. Everyone KNEW they were going to blow the lead. It was just a matter of how fast it was gonna happen. Our offense has been spectacular all year. But our defense has proven time and time again that it doesnt know how to play a full 60 minutes. And our goaltenders? below average from both. They can make amazing saves but then let up garbage goals minutes later.

Trust me, no one is surprised that lead was lost. If anything, Im MORE surprised we managed to score in regulation to win the game. That was huge. But until our GM decides to go and get a stud D-man and 1A goalie, we're going to be fighting for a wildcard spot.

  4. If that had gone to OT and Quinn Hughes had scored the winner though…sheesh.

I think it's fair that people have had some skepticism of how good the Canucks actually are, given how much of a mess the organization has been top to bottom over the past handful of seasons.

Hughes/Pettersson/Miller are top end NHL players and when healthy the team has built up some nice depth throughout the lineup. Demko can absolutely steal a series. Are they Stanley Cup favorites or even contenders? Nope. Are they capable of getting a favorable first round matchup, staying mostly healthy and going on a run? Absolutely

  5. Maybe i just am missing something but I cant understand why Myers is still around. Is it that I only notice him when he makes a mistake and he does a lot of good things that are hard to notice if u arent watching for it?

  6. Playoff hockey needs to return to Vancouver. All those years man, I believe that this is their return to glory. And they do have time, the lineup isn’t like Pittsburgh or Washington where the retirement home is calling the phone. (From a caps fan)

  7. As much as I want canucks to stumble in a way, I’m glad they are revived, just want Edmonton to knock them out in playoffs

  8. Can't use the devil's as a example of how good a team is or isn't, they've been without 3 of their 30 goal scorers for 3 weeks, and now that the team is almost 100%, they are 4-5

  9. another thing that would help them is getting rid of myers. He had another bad game and caused 2 goals

  10. Rick Tocchet I feel is also a coach this team needed. When he came in there was a new spark in the Canucks that gave them maybe not a second chance to run straight into a playoff berth, but set them up for where they are now. J.T. Miller has, if anything, been a far more focused player since Tocchet came aboard.

  11. "Bad luck I guess" Haha! That was too good. Great analysis… easy to get down on the Canucks after the last few years and then watching this great start fade away… but I really do think this team shows signs of greatness… but ultimately it's up to them to really show up defensively. All of their problems stem from defense.

  12. You gotta do one of these for ottawa. With the new jaques martin signing and the fantastic game against new york. The sens look like they’re for real

  13. I appreciate this take, measured and nuanced, if only the more emotional Canucks fans were able to manage such a take.

  14. I was at the game, and I felt awful last night. So….thank you for this video. I feel much better now.

  15. Tyler Myers is NOT an NHL level Dman….AHL at best…I can't wait until they dump this idiot

  16. My hot take is that BOTH New Jersey and Vancouver miss the playoffs- let’s see if that bet makes money 😂

  17. I'd rather face the Canucks than the Kings in the playoffs. The Kings are hungry and off to an amazing start.
After back to back first round losses to the Oilers the Kings will be looking to go on a run.

  18. This game pissed me off lol. Sure, it's nice they showed they can battle back and tie the game, but who gives a flying fuck if you give up the GWG in the last minute of regulation? They need to find a way to salvage a point out of that game.

  19. They have come back down to earth. 6-7 their last 13 games, I still think they’ll make playoffs though

  20. The entire Metropolitan div is wide open behind the Rangers. So yeah, I too think the Devils will make it.

  21. Out side of a knock on wood heart breaking injury there’s no way there gonna fall off
