Lequel de ces centres choisiriez-vous en période de pointe, en supposant que les centres actifs aient déjà atteint leur apogée ?

I love Nate, but peak Geno is unreal good

Peak Malkin. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

  3. banevadegang

2009 Malkin was unstoppable. I’m going with him.

Peak Malkin. At his absolute best the only forwards I would say are better that overlapped with him are Crosby and Ovi. Malkin will probably end up with a top 20-25 resume in this league. No shade to anyone else here, but none of them have done anything close to what we saw from 09 Malkin after Crosby went down with an ankle injury.

Peak Malkin or Bergeron. Malkin could take over a whole game and dictate the pace both sides were going to play. Bergeron because he’s the best two way player I’ve ever personally watched play

Either Peak Datsyuk Peak Malkin Peak Bergy in that order

  7. smallpotatofarmer

Peak malkin and I dont really think its debatable.

Datsyuk. You could just feel that the game was different with him out there. So dangerous on both offense and defense. I have Detroit bias though lol Malkin is probably second, hell of a player.

Geno no question. Peak and prime Geno was just as good, if not better than Sid

  10. I’m a blackhawks fan… Datsyuk for sure. Then Bergeron.

As unique as Malkin is offensively, I’m taking the 97 point Selke winning centre Dats. I’ll sacrifice 10 points for a +40 defensive wizard who played against every teams top lines.

At his peak, He was worth two players on the roster.

Datsyuk. He was also sick defensively in his prime. Those takeaways were unreal.

Datsyuk and it’s not that close. In his prime the « Magic man » was absolutely incredible

    In order..

    Datsyuk
    Malkin
    Bergy
    Mac
    AM
    Drai

The choice between Datsyuk and Malkin is the hardest one.. I’d go with Datsyuk just because winning 3 straight selke’s while scoring 90+ points and being +30-40 just isn’t real.

Seems Datsyuk is the prime candidate. As a Leafs fan (cough, choke)…I agree.

Dats is my fav player of that era but Geno was Crosby-level dominant at his peak.

I feel like kids just getting into hockey now probably have no idea how dominant Geno was at his best. 6’3” and he could move. Silky smooth with the puck, could beat you with an unreal deke or just absolutely rifle it. Obviously he was never defense-first but he could sneak up behind a puck carrier, swipe the puck and be going the other way for a scoring chance before the guy knew what happened. And that’s not even accounting for “Angry Geno.”

The highlight from one of his more famous goals includes the play-by-play man exclaiming “Shades of Mario!” and it really did feel that way when he was on top of his game.

Give me Geno. 2009 Geno was unbelievable

  19. thangus_farm

Geno. Go watch the Carolina series from 09. Dude was un-fucking-real

  20. chrisnavillus

Datsyuk. I have a ton of respect for all those guys but it’s Datsyuk.

  21. -NoFaithInFate-

Datsyuk. Dude was a monster in his prime
