Good lines, although when Quinn is back up to speed, he plays with Cozens/Peterka. Granato will never play Greenway on the 4th line.

  2. Last year when goalffson was having a horrible +- season i started to specifically watch his game and I could never put a finger on what he was doing wrong.

He always seemed to battle for pucks and back check.
He was often in the right spot. There were times he was in the right spot but the other team still scored from a failed attempt to tie up a stick or miss pass interception…

    🤷‍♂️

He’s not really playing any different than he ever has.

I just think the Sabres defensive system as a whole is better this year and he is benefiting from it.

Now if we can just merge the breakout game and powerplay success from Last year into the better defense from this year maybe the Sabres could go on a run.

  3. you've been first on insert goalie name here should be waived because you say it about whichever goalie has an off night, the sneaky part must mean sneaky take changer

  4. I would put power with sammy (use as a lockdown pair.) and ryan johnson with dahlin. (Offensive pair against 2nd and 3rd lines) I would have joki with clifton/johnson (have them rotate based on play because they both have sucked)

  5. My wife & I heard the best joke a few months ago.

    Buffalo is PlayOff bound.
    😂
    Bro, we are still laughing.

I didn't know they sold playoff tickets in October.

  6. I’ve been saying that I believe that Levi got a little too sure of himself coming into the season knowing he was the number one goalie. And he totally earned the opportunity at that point. I just think that he allowed himself to relax and it hurt his game. I believe that the assignment to Rochester was a wake up call, and with how confident l, proud and competitive he is, he realizes that he has to work for it EVERY night.

  7. All of Robinson numbers the last several seasons are better than Okposo, I hate to say it, but if he plays well in the games leading up to Greenways return, he needs to take Okposo’s spot sooner rather than later.

  8. Coach Don played it wrong with Levi by starting him all those early games yet sitting him against Montreal. Is he not going to get that chance tomorrow against the Habs? Also, WHO thinks UPL can play back-to-back solid games. Haven't really seen that, have we? Seems like he's better when playing once after sitting a few. Some goalies are built to be back-ups and teams that win a lot so often have a guy like that. Another thing, after Benson scored about a point per game with Thompson and Skinner in preseason, the three haven't played together since, I think. Finally, JEFF SKINNER, PASS THE PUCK. You are always on the ice with other finishers, and when the power play is working, and the "bumper" gets open for a shot or to bump the puck to Thompson, you CANNOT walk out from below the goal line to take a low percentage shot. Back in the day, the Sabres were incapable of passing in tight spaces, but their offensive surge last year came because they stopped just "putting the puck on net", as Rob Ray keeps encouraging. STOP IT, Rob! PASS THE PUCK, guys, your teammates are good enough to finish. That includes on the odd-man rush, where you've been pitiful this year. Dare to lead the team in assists, for crying out loud. go team.

  9. Completely agree with your lines… Just get okposo out and someone else there. I know this is bad to say but I've been secretly wishing that he got injured. That would give an out to not needing to bench him.
