The After Hours could have been better with less trauma-related questions and mentioning the healthy scratch (seriously 💀) but nice to see his off-ice life at least. He is a Vancouver Canuck.
I know we won but I don’t know if it was a buttcheek clencher or typical Canucks fashion where we’re up 3-0 and blow the lead and barely win.

Hogz made the most of his minutes. That play late where he was 1 vs 4 on the high D boards, and he still managed to win possession and clear the zone…that was pure tenacity.
The magic number of points Petey needs to put up in a game to avoid 50 “Pettersson is hurt and needs to sit” postgame posts is apparently 3 or more.
That diving with his stick to break up a play by Höglander was one of my fav moments from tonight. What a pleasure it’s been watching him in Abby and now doing this with the big club

I’ve been waiting to see a game like this. So many positives.

* We had an answer for the forecheck and puck support they usually kill us with
* Lafferty looked good with Mikheyev and Petey
* Demko dialed in, especially during the 5 on 3
We got a little to loose and they tied it at 3. This was a desperate team that came out hard. But we were the better team against a supposed cup contender. And a team that, in recent memory, has absolutely owned us with their style of play.
Any fun bars and pubs to watch games at that you guys regular?
Miller has become a good media piece this season. That’s something else you’re seeing that’s different. He’s good at breaking down plays in the after-game scrums. The Tocchet approach is really working with him and he’s stepped up to be a solid piece of this team going forward. A lot of good leadership in different ways from different parts of the team.
Lafferty was such a fucking smart pickup. He has been excellent
The game was kind of boring but so nice to see kinda boring and win vs excruciatingly painful and lose. Good effort from the boys tonight, they more or less shut down a good team. Maybe not as good but up there with the Dallas game as far as playing to give me hope this team can take the next step to compete with the truly good teams in this league.
Is it just me or is anyone else waiting for this powerplay to get going, this is just brutal, this team needs to get that thing clicking again if they want to put teams away. For once though the team played a pretty complete game, didn’t like the bench minor penalties but that’s rare.
