Le joueur des Red Wings de Détroit, Dylan Larkin, était immobile sur la glace après une blessure très préoccupante. Pourtant, il ne semblait pas avoir été touché si durement. 1. Concussion is still certainly the first thing to think of here, so don’t think this video is me saying that’s not possible. This is just an alternative pathology to think about when the blow to the head wasn’t as intense as we can often see in hockey

  2. He got the buttend of the stick in his face. That's what probably knocked him out briefly. You don't need to get clocked that hard on the chin to be knocked out.

  3. You don't see it from that angle but #21 hits Larkin squarely on the jaw with his left gloved hand from the other side and of course Larkin doesn't see it coming.

  4. In old slap stick movies, a judo chop to the neck area would see someone collapse unconscious. Would this be similar to what you're explaining to us?

  5. He obviously gets a crosscheck in the neck. That can cut off oxygen for a fraction of a time. Very dangerous play, opponent should get a long ban.

  6. Looked like he was disoriented from getting knocked around by 2 different players and ends up hitting his head on the ice.

  7. he hit his vertebrae with the butt end of his stick. followed by the impact hitting into someone elses forearm with his face
can i be a fake youtube dr and put md in my name too? nobody hit him in the front of his neck like this guy is saying
how are you not banned, sued or had your medical license revoked?

  8. Looked very similar to when fighters in the UFC get knocked unconscious with punches or kicks that seemingly land accidentally to a guys side of the neck instead of jaw or temple but still have that KO affect. I always thought they were misplaced punches or kicks but maybe they’re done on purpose seeing as they have similar results?

  9. you're not a doctor and you know it….
he got hit with the butt end of the stick in his vertebrae
the impact pushed his face into a whole forarm
how the hell you got this bs about he got hit in his artery? explain how thats a neck shot?

this is hockey. people take pucks to the face, right in their mouth and lost all their teeth and keep playing
the impact from the first pushed his head and brain one way, the 2nd hit pushed his brain the other way. brain rattled instant ko .
plus he's not expecting the hit from the front or the back…… he got caught off guard

if your doctor with one of the highest salaries around needs a fuckin youtube channel, you have the wrong doctor. some of his video screenshot are literally clickbait.
good luck if you take his medical advice or if he is your fake doctor

a fucking doctor with an md and he still has to make youtube videos with clickbait pictures.
what about your real patients? you really have time to fabricate a youtube video thumbnail….

  10. they both seemed to target his head with the first blow pushing him towards the second impact that appeared to be on the chin.

  11. Watching slowmo replays for this is misleading. It looks “benign” in slowmo. At full speed you can see head get popped pretty hard. Watch that 10 times in a row. Knockout isn’t surprising regardless of his history.

  12. Dylan Larkin with the glass jaw… it definitely looked like 27’s “fist” is what did it… I’ve seen weirder knockouts, for sure

  13. Thank you for the, as always fantastic diagnosis of these injuries that you cover..
If I had a doctor like you around when I was working NYC as an EMT ambulance driver back in the neanderthal 80sI would have still been involved..( never really stopped just isn't my means of income)

  14. Not enough of a head blow? You don’t play hockey, do ya? You don’t do much of ANYTHING, is our guess…
We’ll look you up if we need someone to incessantly yammer, alright?

  15. The head blow was the butt end of a stick on the back of his neck pushing him into a the butt end of a stick hitting him in the jaw, you can't see this because players wear gloves, but if you know whats hitting him, this is a pretty obvious concussion. So Doctor if a stick is being pressed on the back of your neck and another stick hits you in the jaw, what do you think will happen? Dont need a doctor for this if you know whats hitting him. Your not looking at the right angle on this hit, which is why your kissing #27 stick hitting him in the jaw.

  16. So looks like 21 is pushing on his left side of his neck, where 27 hits him on the right side of the neck, sandwiching his neck, he goes out n then hits his head on the ice. I think what you're talking about took him out, but ice isn't forgiving n he also could have a concussion from the fall to the ice. Prayers go out to him.
