Nice to see the Devils play better in front of VV last night. He’s not as bad as he’s made out to be, but he doesn’t have the psychological fortitude to be the Devils’ netminder. Playing goalie for the Devils is extremely stressful right now, given how this team can psychologically lapse and give up critical chances here and there.
Nemec… soon as he replaces Dougie, he’s not at all been that great defensively, but the last two games, goalies have just played better. It just makes you wonder if some players have an aura… like he’s our paladin or something. Siegenthaler hasn’t been the Siegs from last year either… lot of failed zone exits last night.
I also notice it’s a road trip and the Devils were a fantastic road team last year, and it’s not really taken a hit this year… I just think they play more focussed hockey on the road, and need to learn to generate that focus at hom because they get too enchanted by emotional swings during a hockey game.
What did Timo do that you are celebrating? I have him as 1 sog/ 0 hits / 0 points / 14 minutes toi? He’s been a bust. What did I miss?
