  1. Thanks Bortz 👍 Not sure who's going to match your passion on D here but it's time for someone to step up. Good luck in NY. They need what you've got!

  2. Never would have thought in 2015 he'd stick around till 2023, great player who always knew his role and did it well!

  3. Why did we just trade the glue of this team to the isle for nothing??? Are you effing kidding me?? There's a handful of players to send off instead of Bortz. I am baffled

  4. I would very much like to know why one of our better defensive blueliners has been gathering dust in the press box this season while highly-paid players have been playing VERY poorly in their own zone and hanging our goaltenders out to dry. If Armstrong was trying to justify the expenditure, I have news for him: he hasn't and he won't. We have at least one severely underachieving defenseman on this team who's making a LOT of money. I won't say he's the only one. But most of why we are so inconsistent is because we don't clean up well in our own zone, which was something Bortuzzo would've done better than others. This move seems really questionable to me.

  5. Fan favorite. While he was never one of the star faces of the team, fans know what he brought. One of 16 players in history to play that long for the Blues. He’s an all-timer. Forever will be a Blue and will be happily welcomed back when his playing days are over.

  6. He will be missed, but I’m glad he’s getting some ice time. Guess I’ll have to start watching islanders games.

  7. Sorry to see you leave Robert.
Thank you for your time here and helipng
the Blues win our 1rst Cup.
    Good luck with the Islanders.

  8. From all I’ve heard over the years this man was THE guy to have on your team. Sometimes a hot head on the ice but a cool calming influence in the locker room. A prankster and a motivator. I for one will miss Robert Bortuzzo. I’m sad to see him go and kind of envious of his new team. Best of luck Bortz. You’ll never not be a Saint Louis Blue in my mind.

  9. It's a bit ironic that the one defenseman who played Blues hockey on this team is the one gone. The six guys playing defense today are all scared of their own shadows, well maybe not Tucker.
