When are you going to learn if a team is tied after 60 minutes both teams DESERVE a point? Bastard 3 on 3 OTLs and shootouts are not losses, they are ties and a win and extra point for the other team. Why don't you say the Islanders only have 7 regulation losses in 26 games?
Anders Lee should have at least been in the box for his first goal, he had a couple scummy plays, being first in THG power rankings helps a little
2 players at the same time checked Larkin in the neck/head unnecessarily. Unjustifiable. Does it excuse what Perron did? No but I don’t blame him. If I saw a teammate looking lifeless on the ice I wouldn’t stop until whoever did that to him was on the ice looking lifeless too.

It's worth noting detroit was down to 9 forwards after Larkin and perron were exited from the game.
Dominant win for the Caps. They CAN put it all together, as they did tonight, which keeps us die-hard fans plugged in — despite the streak of wobbly performances. Nice to do it against Lavi, too, who I thought was a total pro and a good guy in DC, but he sure did squander precious years.

What is going with Carolina? Watching that game, it was weird seeing them outplayed loke that in the 1st period. They made it a game but they are always chasing it seems these days. Also why is Jack Drury on the 1st PP unit?
I for one laughed at the Ent reference.
My biggest problem is that this is a dude who's clearly aware of Larkin's injury history, given Larkin's response to the last time they got into it, so that lends it aspects of maliciousness and premeditation that wouldn't otherwise be present. A sucker punch and neck crosscheck combo looks exactly like a combination of their last encounter and retaliation for Larkin's own sucker punch. Larkin got suspended for that, this reinforces my belief that Joseph needs a suspension of his own.
Perron's penalty is roughly as bad, targeting a player who'd just come back from a concussion, and had nothing to do with the play, but it was heat-of-the-moment.
Wings fans are up in arms over this. It is unjustifiable, and sens fans are quick to say that perron was the only one saying a dirty play. Larkin is UNCONSCIOUS from 2 simultaneous headshots. One was a repeat offense from Joseph.

Watching the sequence a few times, it seemed Larkin caught an elbow to the chin as he was falling forward from the cross check by Joseph.

As much as the result of that Larkin play sucked, all hockey fans have to admit that happens in scrambles in front of the net all the time. It just got him in a tender spot on his neck. I hope it's not too serious.
Absolutely fantastic game by Anders Lee. Got the Kings (and their troll fans) all riled up with some clean physical play, then gets 2 goals in the 3rd period to come back and tie it up. 1st star, no doubt.
Detroit chose not to dress Kostin playing against one of the most aggressive teams in the league. Hopefully this is a lesson learned
