  1. Or could be that he’s going to Texas with them tomorrow.

    How soon is lately?

Is this Larkin is out for term so we need a 1C a la Lindholm

Is this Steve sees a need to upgrade D/Goalie so he’s pushing chips in on this team?

Regardless we’re approaching a stage in the « rebuild » where prospects we don’t want to trade are becoming expendable

Thought I heard we called up ZAR, Czarnik and Berrgren…havent heard anything trade related though

  4. kudjan89

According to winged wheel media he’s being called up with czarnik, and Austin-Reese

Is this gonna be like last season where we get out-Physical’d by Ottawa and Stevie goes into action? This time things other than draft picks would come back I imagine though.

  6. flatirons1982

He’s 100% just being rested for the wings

Well if it’s prospects for a center to hold us over since we have no idea about Larkin or Compher since they haven’t said much. There are guys like Monahan or Henrique who could prop up the top 6 temporarily who won’t cost too too much.

I’m sure the scratch is directly because he’s getting called up for injury/suspension support. There’s likely some truth to there being trade discussions too, but it’s not really related to the scratch.

I think Berggren is coming up his NHL GP limit before having to go through waivers to get sent down, right? I can understand trade discussions in that context

  9. BiggestYzerfan

How much would it take for Patrik Laine if he really wants to leave CBJ? Probably too much money/also not a center for that to work.

  10. One_Handed_Wonder

I don’t have the same love for Berggren as everyone else and have thought he might be part of a trade for awhile now. He’s skilled but he is very soft, not playoff caliber player

  11. Shotokanguy

I don’t know who the hell we could possibly be trading for that would be worth giving up one of our better offensive prospects.

  12. zze0001

David Pagnotta is bottom tier insider imo.

Wonder if we’re going to somehow be in the Bear trade?

  14. LowHowD

I don’t want to lose Johnny Burgers, I feel like he consistently plays up to his competition, and has proven he can start in the nhl. I guess I get it if it were for a significant, younger side, proven forward.

  15. Caltroit_Red_Flames

I really hope this is wrong. I think Berggren has a lot to show us, his passing ability is really excellent. Not elite, so I guess a return could make me okay with it, but I want to see what he can do with us.

  16. WTBRaegO

Berggren is my favorite of the prospects. This saddens me if they deal him.

  17. OctoWings13

Called up to help cover Larks injury and Perron (bullshit) suspension

They wouldn’t dare trade our boy!

  18. RedWingsFan1990

Said this a few weeks ago. There’s just something about him that Yzerman and Lalonde don’t like about his game

  19. BlakeDatAzzUp

I’m not sure how much value Berggren really brings to the table in a trade.

No chance the leafs are trying to offload anyone right now, are they?
