  1. Boarding and hitting from behind is not a suspension if the player on the recieving end doesn't get hurt eh Button? Like nah bad take, that's a 5 minute major & match penalty. Refs got this one wrong and Button sounds like a plug for the league to justify not penalizing Cousins properly.

  2. Goon Gudbranson tryna embellish it laying on the ice like that. Good on Cousins, certainly making his moneys worth Barkov scored the Gwg on the penalty Gudbranson took later on so very good win for the panthers. Keep playing the chippy game, most teams cant seem to handle it

  3. Button is an absolute clown for this take. There's no "cutting off" with the shoulder there. Even if he is attempting to not hit him in the numbers, it's still a dangerous hit anyway. So, what's the difference? Button, quit wanking off to the NHL brass and the referees and call it like it is.

The NHL is a clown league anyway. They have no issue making black and white rules like delay of game and all this bull, but then they can't seem to get these dangerous situations right 90% of the time. Anyone who defends this hit is an idiot and shouldn't watch hockey, and Button should be ashamed of tucking his tail between his legs here.

  4. Button is so wrong YET AGAIN!.. Cousins made no attempt to "cut him off" like Button claims.. he went strait at the numbers with intent, he made ZERO effort to go for the shoulder. The only reason it didn't stay 5min is because he got up quickly and went after Cousins, if it takes an actual injury for there to be a 5min penalty for something like that and not just the potential to injure a player then the league and refs are both messed in the head!

  5. The Cousins hit was from behind and deserved either a 2 or 5 minute penalty. In old time hockey, it Cousins would have to be prepared to defend himself in a fight. When Cousins turtled, Gudbranson continued to punch him. Gudbranson should have just dropped his gloves and openly challenged Cousins. Then Cousins would have been exposed as a "coward".

  6. Cousins curled up on the ice openly weeping like a toddler who just lost his Nintendo privileges is priceless.

  7. Craig Button should stick to scouting… that hit was disgusting. "Because you didn't like the hit" more like, because "Cousins tried to injure me"

  8. why they have Button as an analyst of a game he colossally failed at analyzing at a GM level is beyond me. Worst GM in flames history, you can take all his opinions, reverse them, and probably get the truth

  9. Gudbranson had every right to go after Cousins the way he did.
He got drilled from behind head first into the boards. He’s lucky he wasn’t seriously injured on the play.

Cousins is a rat, a disturber, one of those players who will run guys and hide behind the refs.
Had they given him a major and a game misconduct like they should have (you know, player safety), that would’ve been the end of it.

Now Gudbranson will pay the price for the league’s failure. Typical!
