Damn, I was hoping he would be a nice fit. He just needs the right line to produce and he wasn’t getting that here.

I know Vrana has had some internal issues before and entered in the player assistance program. No matter his play on the ice I hope he’s doing okay mentally.

So I take it Schenn’s « you just can’t choose when you want to show up » might’ve been directed at Vrana

Not surprising. He showed promise after last year’s trade deadline, but he’s been pretty useless this year. I know people complain that he needed better line mates, but it’s hard to watch him loafing out there like he did last game and argue that he should be playing with better players.

Ya know, he was given every opportunity to succeed and deploy his offensive skill set here. Top 6 minutes and PP1 for 15+ Games. Guy just dosen’t have it.

Anyone blaming the team usage of him or coaching is missing the full picture. I understand he entered the player assistance program and I hope he is doing well with that, but I don’t think that has anything to do with this. His effort and comments implying he isn’t going to change the way he plays are very eye opening for why he hasn’t been able to stick anywhere for the last 4 years. He hasn’t done anything to deserve a spot in the top 6 or on the power play. You can’t just give him those opportunities without at least some effort of trying to earn them. He was a lottery ticket we grabbed last year that didn’t pan out and it is what it is.

Another Army flop, these are piling up. Ya know how Chief said a while back that the team was playing hit-and-hope hockey? Well, Army and Chief have been doing exactly that with management since the 21-22 season ended.

Now bring in the young guns, trade few pieces away for picks and start tanking

Unfortunate as I’d have liked him to have worked out but the guy needs to show up consistently. Now I’m just concerned that attitude doesn’t get passed onto the younger guys.

Not surprising, but disappointing. Had hopes he’d be a 20-30 goal guy.

What an absolute joke. Even when he was scratched we were still losing the same exact ways. Absolutely pathetic. We don’t put our players in positions to succeed and then blame the players. Absolute pathetic insanity. Bet hey Kyrou is so much better defensively this year, who cares he doesn’t play loose or with confidence anymore. What a joke.

Ps, yes I’ve heard the comments like Schenn’s that could be directed at Vrana but this is just collateral of the major issue plaguing this team right now

As a Wings fan, I know your frustration here…Blues said « We can fix him. » and I genuinely hoped he would work for you guys. This is his 3rd strike so I’d imagine he’s done in the NHL.

Can we just scrap this year and bring all our young players up?

  14. there’s a reason (effort and defense perhaps) it’s his third team that he’s burned through.

Not terribly surprised. He was practically invisible when on the ice.
