I bet it was that gutless crosscheck from Logan Stanley in our first game of the trip

Kid can not catch a break but the ones given to his body and bones…

If he’s out for a long term gotta figure that Don is going to be getting a bit more aggressive. Wonder if we end up in the Stamkos sweepstakes.

He’s almost the only physical player that we have and he’s always injured…I’m afraid that he’s not gonna be the same player and he will stop deliver big hits

Please be okay Svech. I feel so bad for him. Just when it seemed like he was finding his game again.

  5. Ugh – if Svech is out long term, you almost have to ask yourself if this is a season worth trying to save. Our defense is a mess, we already knew this. Burns looks like his age finally caught up to him, and the 7th D we have is so bad at the defensive aspect of the game that we have had to healthy scratch him despite his offensive abilities. Our goaltending situation is a complete cluster with the starting goalie in a spot where he might have to medically retire, and both backups fluctuate from serviceable to a complete tire fire from period to period. And potentially losing Svech could take an offense that is already struggling to do anything and make it that much worse.

I don’t know if its worth trying to salvage this year. At a certain point, it might be worth it to just chalk this up to a lost season and make moves to proactively get us positioned for success next year and beyond. Sell off whatever we aren’t planning to bring back and if there is a big move to be made that sends a few roster players away, do it, knowing we can backfill in the summer.

Svech having some of the worst luck of his young career so far. now that our, arguably, highest impact physical forward is having many issues recovering from injuries and whatever else, i think it’s even more obvious that we %1110 need to be making calls on getting some forward help. i can’t even begin to approach the goaltending issue, but that’s another conversation entirely seeing as there are like 15 different teams all having goalie issues so far this season
